Good morning everyone
It looks as if for many of us the weather looks good for a bank holiday, though not so good for the far north.
I did see Page Eight last night, and I don't think it was as good as I had anticipated. There was also too much bad language for my liking. I was a bit surprised as in the States this was distributed by the Public Broadcasting Service which is the main distributer for the public service broadcasters there. I don't know that much about public service broadcasting in the States but I assume that it is more likely to be free to air rather than cable and therefore subject to considerably stricter censorship rules than in the UK.
Good morning EL and everyone yes I am afraid EL that bad language is the norm nowadays and rather difficult to avoid. Did you stay with The Hour until the end? I did and it was OK but not great, I found it interesting though in what it insinuated about the BBC.
Quite a nice morning here, interesting cloud pattern, in between the cumulus clouds there is a strange stripy pattern not quite cirrus but on those lines. Anyway enough of me waffling on about clouds, have a good day everyone.
I did watch The Hour until the end. I found it strangely compulsive watching but it wasn't as aoutstanding as it could have been. Although the writer of the series does have ideas for a second series, it is not yet known whether the BBC will recommission it. Apparently it depends as to how it will be received in the States. I was looking on the IMDB site about this and I saw that one poster has made the comment that BBC programmes tend to be shown in cut versions in the States unless shown on Public Broadcasting Service. That must make it difficult to American viewers to be able to form similar opinions to British viewers.
Here there are cumulus clouds.
Morning everyone
A bit chilly here.
Son arrived home 3am safe and sound, they had a great time , he is tucked up in bed and no doubt be there till his tummy wakes him for food! I dont mind he works hard all week so deserves a long lie.

I see that a special 50th anniversary edition of Breakfast at Tiffanys will be released towards the end of September. It's been restored and remastered with over 90 minutes of extras. Unfortunately it will be in Blu-Ray only because it will be in high definition.
Breaking news from the Met Office on the radio:
This summer has been unsettled.
Although parts of the Midlands have been drier than normal, Scotland has had twice the average.
It's also been the coolest summer since 1993.
We've only had 76% of the average sunshine.
I'm sure this breaking news will come as surprising to you
