Good morning everyone As you can see I finally managed to break through and escape to the outside world  (my last post was just an experiment to see how many replies can be nested before the alternating colours cease and that was the result)

It rained overnight and I think there may be some more showers today, but tomorrow looks very very wet here (which probably means it will be dry).

Summer, this page shouldn't be grey for you as so far there are no pictures

El Loro

Good morning everyone Its a lovely breezy morning here.

EL that was a very interesting effect you created there, I have no idea how you did that with the nested quotes thing

Summer that sounds like such a lovely day, busy, productive, a little exercise, a little helping your MIL and an interesting programme to watch at the end.  I do hope your new Wilbur Smith book is a good 'un because I know, as I am sure do many others of us, how miserable it is when a really good book comes to an end and you still want to engage with the characters, the 'tell me more' feeling.

Thanks kattie for telling us about Ben's appearance on BBBOTS and the fact that he likes Bobby.  I have got the feeling (and hope) that Sally will go on Friday, she is every bit as bad as I thought she would be and maybe even much much worse than I thought she could be.

Have a good day, catch you later.

It wasn't me!

I never touched anything, I never posted anything, I am innocent I tell you!

I refuse to go back on that naughty step.

Good morning everyone. Sun is shining atm, sunshine and showers are forecast.

Thanks Katty, good to know that Ben likes Bobby.

Eldest son has a day off, so I am meeting him later on. Got to run around with the hoover and tidy up before I go out.

Hope everyone is well, catch up later.

afternoon I've managed to get the page to load it's literally an issue with the iPhone app if there's extra data to load. I can pop into my web browser to see the page but it takes 4 times longer.. It might be the calendar, because everyone's moving avi's are showing. It could just be a blip too. Anyway, hope you're all having a lovely day, our rain has cleared and it's a lovely sunny day now Skylark how old is your granddaughter?
~Sparkling Summer~

Skylark, I was waiting for my son outside Morrisons' when I heard this conversation between a 3 year old boy and his granny:

Little boy, "Gran, I have a good idea."

Gran, "What's that, Darling"

Little boy, "Why don't we go to the toy bit first, and maybe you will see something you want to buy?"

He's a quick learner.

When we went into the shop, guess who was at the toy bit buying a toy for their grandson?

He will Squiggle. The amazing thing was there wasn't a hint of obvious guile, it was all so innocently done.

I love it.

I dread to think what Mr Yogi will be like when we have grandkids, he can't even say NO to the dog.

Got my niece and hubby coming for tea around 5ish. They are in town for the Festival. Think i am organised !  Got chicken, various cold meats, tuna and assorted cheeses, with salads, and a french  loaf. I will put it out buffet style, and they can help themselves. They , initially, were going to my sisters, but somehow i got talked into having them , not quite sure how that happened !
I dont think they will stay long, as they will be off seeing some show , i expect.

That sounds lovely, Skylark - any room for a small one?

Lol grass cutting and dog walking in particular, are both valid physical activity I did 24 mins on the cross trainer, with a 5 min each yoga warm up & cool down. It's quite a quickie workout but is ideal when I've finished work late I feel good and just scoffed some lamb chops What are everyone's weekend plans? I'm heading down to Cambridge to celebrate my best friends 30th birthday, then on to Suffolk on Sunday to visit my mum

24 minutes on the cross trainer with 5 mins warm up amd 5 mins cooldown I'm exhausted just reading about it.

Lamb chops are delicious, I love 'em.

Nothing special planned for the weekend yet - hope you have a lovely time in Cambridge, Summer.

Glad to hear you'll still be popping in here though.
