The one to look out for, Slim, is on 12 August 2026. Here's a link to a webpage on this which has an interactive map of the UK. So you can see what the proportion of the Sun is covered at the eclipse's peak and the time.
https://theskylive.com/solar-e...2026-08-12&cc=GB
92.35% at 19:13 where I live, though that depends how cloudy it is as to whether or not I can see it

Maximum eclipse will be at 19:15:09 local time when 93.98% of Sun's surface will be covered by the Moon... where I am

News story about fake stamps:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68786782
My brother had to pay ÂĢ5 for a card which was sent to him by a friend as the stamp was rejected as fake.
I don't use a lot of stamps but get mine direct from Royal Mail so those should be OK.

Seems a bit of a cheek to charge your brother when he wasn't the one who bought nor sent the fake stamp and to charge ÂĢ5.00  is just wrong!

My brother did get in touch with his friend so that he was aware that there was a problem with stamps he'd bought. The friend did send my brother something to recompense him

Sky Arts starting a series of Charlie Chaplin films today at 1pm, with a repeat on Sunday at 8pm,
Today it's "The Kid" (1921) and next weekend "The Goldrush" (1925).
I don't know which others will get shown.
They will have been shown before on television but not for quite some time.

Cheers El

Will have to record it...am off out to enjoy the glorious sunshine we have here today
