A BBC news article about Cotswold District Council may consider higher council tax bills on holiday homes:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clevn77l7v4o
Article has a wow of a photograph at the top of the article.

Only trouble with that photo is that the village shown is not in the Cotswold District Council which is part of Gloucestershire. It's Castle Combe which, although in the Cotswolds, is in Wiltshire.
The building seen at the front of the photo on the left is The Old Court House

It certainly does have a Wow of a picture at the top El....very characteristic

I don't know if that's fair to charge more, as long as they don't charge less imo.

BBC news article about them repeating  on BBC Four various literary adaptations they's made over the decades:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacen...s-season-of-classics
I mentioned one of them a few days ago "A Passage to India"

One of them is a 1961 version of Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina". That has Claire Bloom in the title role. Count Alexis Vronsky was played by a relatively unknown actor as the time - Sean Connery. This adaptation hasn't been shown on television since 1961 and had been thought lost.

Slim, a couple of films on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week.

Sunday 18.30 "Campbell's Kingdom" (1957). British adventure/drama film set in the Canadian Rockies (filmed in the Dolomites in Italy). Englishman (Dirk Bogarde) having been told by his doctors that he has a short time to live, inherits some land from his grandfather. Also stars Barbara Murray and Stanley Baker, Based on the novel by Hammond Innes. One of the films I saw at school and have seen again since.

Thank you El

They both sound worthy of a watch...I'll time them to record......just incase I forget they are on

I don't think I've since Petula Clark acting before...

Slim, although Petula Clark is much better known for her songs, she was in quite a number of films when she was a child including a small role in "I Know Where I'm Going" (1945). Some films when she had grown up, "The Card" was possibly her most significant adult role.
