Very cute aren't they
I can see the facial features are hedgehog like but they look more like a mouse type creature to me tbh...
Let's hope they're not disturbed too much by man....

The onion fayre may be returning to Newent though residents aren't happy:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw0dp8ydk7ko
The fayre is over 700 years old.
Incidentally Newent is also known for its daffodils. The stems can be confused with spring onions:

Well, I don't suppose they'll be holding the festival in the graveyard as in centuries ago, and with regulations being as tight as they are nowadays, I can't see why the locals are worried especially as covid is the only reason it hasn't been held the past 2/3 years....
Will you visit it El?

No, i don't mind eating onions but as part of a meal rather than the main item

It was a genuine mistake.
Back in 2015 the Public Health Authority contacted supermarkets advising them to keep daffodils away from food to reduce the risk of shoppers thinking they were food. There were 27 incidents of poisoning from the likes of daffodils in 2014

Not like Miriam Margoyles who eats a raw onion (as if it were an apple) for breakfast each day

I suppose to the untrained eye ....and for those who don't/can't read labels.

they are considered healthy provided your digestion can take them
My brother is recovering from a bout of food poisoning, he thinks from a coated chicken fillet from Sainsburys he had on Thursday evening. He hadn't notified Sainsburys and I suggested he did given the seriousness of salmonella

Slim, not much new of interest on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week though on Thursday in the 15.10 slot is a 1938 film called "Trade Winds". It's about a woman who flees the country by ship thinking she's committed a murder and is followed by a detective. Strong cast with Fredric March, Joan Bennett, Ralph Bellamy and Ann Sothern. Script was co-written by Dorothy Parker.
I see that there's to be a new Wallace and Gromit story on BBC 1 for Christmas Day next year. No news yet as to what it will be called though it's about a "smart gnome" which Wallace has invented and Gromit has to come to the rescue

Oooh love a Wallace & Gromit caper
Thoroughly enjoyed re-watching the original 'Grand Day Out' a few days ago ...hard to believe it was made over 30 years ago

They are great
I think it likely to be Ben Whitehead voicing Wallace as he did that for a couple of video games in recent years
Good afternoon Buddies
Overcast and breezy here with occasional shower
Enjoy your day everyone

Just watched the "Sister Boniface Mysteries" Christmas special called "The Star of the Orient" which was shown on the Drama channel. Very enjoyable and satisfying, a must watch when it gets shown again. Unusually for the series, there are some better known guest actors in the cast.
Although much of it takes place on a train, it's not related to "Murder on the Orient Express".

I think I saw one of that series once ElâĶ.it was quite good.

The series is quite variable, this episode is possibly the best one, The episodes are generally an hour long, this one is two hours long (with ad breaks) but is justified.
