Hi everyone x
My headache passed, thanks. think i just needed to have a good sleep x
I am sorry to hear , Joyron that hubby isnt keen on you being on here , but hope to see you when you can pop in x
As for this thread , i cant see a huge influx of new members. There will be discussions, but as there will be no live feed, i cant see the forum being all that busy, to be honest. This thread will survive. I dont see a problem .
squiggle, love the posts with buddy pics   And thanks for making me a boat and not a bird

We get a weekly local paper delivered to the house by a wee lad of about 11.

Youngest son had been a Sunday paperboy and thought he would like to encourage this youngster's private enterprise - so how come I have ended up paying ÂĢ2 every week for a paper that only costs 70p?!

Son says we can't give him any less otherwise we'll be considered tight tippers.

I am having a look around for ideas as a present for my sister, she is 50 in November. Nothing too expensive, as she isnt really materialistic , and she wouldnt want us spending too much. Its hard to get something original, that she wouldnt be expecting
I have been looking on the Simpsons Fine Art site, some nice prints.....i dont know.
Any ideas ??

This year is going so fast, its scary

This year has whizzed by.

My (maternal) nana's birthday and anniversary was on 5th of November. I have happy memories of Bonfire Night at her house.

I bought some little plug plants today, some winter-flowering pansies and some primroses. The weather had been fine, so I set up 80 little pots and filled them with compost. I only got halfway through planting them when the Heavens opened - but I was determined to finish. I must have looked like a nutter to the neighbours (with my rainjacket on and hood up) planting flowers into dinky little pots, in the pouring rain.

It has, Ros.

A lot of the Scottish schools went back yesterday/ today. I always see that as the end of summer.

This year IS going fast, it's been a whirlwind of weddings, christenings & birthdays etc.. And we've just been invited to our 5th wedding of the year! The chemist was out of magnesium sulphate I swear I jinx chemist supplies, every other time I go there I get told the item I need will be in "tomorrow afternoon" I do answer the door at Halloween, I usually carve a pumpkin to put in the kitchen window, then decorate the hallway all spooky! we only seem to get small children dressed up in fancy dress, and have always been so polite too, so I'm happy to buy sweets for them I LOVE autumn!
