Good afternoon Buddies

Sometimes sunny but mostly cloudy here. Rain promised

I hope you are enjoying your day

Met Office has it as dry here for this afternoon, BBC has showers possibly thundery this afternoon though quite low percentage of that happening. Met Office has issued a yellow warning of thunder but the area ends a few miles away to the east

That's all the emergency services need, it's not as if they don't already have enough nuisance calls each day

And it increases the risk that genuine calls don't get dealt with as quickly as they might. The article mentions Devon & Cornwall as having received 169 silent calls on Sunday between 0.00 and 19.00, each silent call taking on average 20 minutes to resolve so taking up over 56 hours of emergency call centre staff time dealing with those.

I think those companies that are responsible for producing the defective software should be made to pay for the hours spent in wasted emergency services time

Being a touch sceptical, I was anticipating a wet weekend ....it is after all Glastonbury weekend

"Mud, mud, glorious mud,
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood,
So follow me, follow
Down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud"
that of course being the chorus from Flanders and Swann's "The Hippopotamus Song"

I note from the BBFC site that a couple of classic Walt Disney films have just been certified by them for another cinema release. I don't know if that's for general re-release or for a limited re-release.
The two films are "One Hundred and One Dalmatians" (1961) with a release date of 8th September. Before then is "Bambi" (1942) with a release date of 18th August. Both with a U certificate of course they have scenes which may upset very young children.

Two lovely films

I hope they haven't mucked about with them...

In that case, I might be tempted to take my grandaughter to the cinema

The one Disney wholly animated film I saw at the cinema as a child was "Pinocchio", an unforgettable experience
Also unforgettable was "Mary Poppins" which I saw at the cinema when it was first released.
So those two Disney films are quite special for me as a result.
Obviously I've seen many since but not as a child.

Pinnochio is a great film, I'm not surprised it was an unforgettable experience for you
The first Disney film I saw was Snow White, but not at the cinema....on the big screen in the Officers Mess. The Air Force used to have film reels flown over...in this case to Cyprus.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy, warm and humid here, high of 27° forecast for today and tomorrow but then drops to a high of 21° on Monday.

I couldn't get on here first thing this morning getting the Will Robison screen, I emailed support. They've replied that they have a hardware issue, doing what they can to minimise the issue until they sort it our. So don't be surprised if there are problems until that's done.

I hope everyone has a good day
