Not to worry El, I have a few films in reserve to watch

Thank you anyways

Looking in the tv mag, the other channels aren't offering much of interest either

There's a film on Tuesday week on Talking Pictures - "Of Human Bondage" (1934). That's though of as the best of the film adaptations of Somerset Maugham's novel. It's about a painter turned medical student who almost ruins his life with his infatuation over a vindictive teashop waitress. Hollywood film though set in London. The lead actor was Leslie Howard. The lead actress had been in films for a few years abut this film is regarded as the one which made Bette Davis a star. It's not her best film which was a milestone in her career as a serious actress.

Hope it isn’t causing you to much hassle El

Hi Slim and Moonie

It means that it I need to contact a client I'm having to ring them, If a client has sent me an email then I won't know anything about it until the virgin media mail servers are running again.  Their billing section seems to be working though.

No chance of getting any compensation,, there would have to be no service at all (there's been no internet disruption, just the email servers down) and have lasted for at least 48 hours - that's per Ofcom.
Latest forecast of email being back up is now 3pm

Needless to say, it's gone 3pm and the Virgin Media email servers remain out of action.

Service status re emails now saying hope to have sorted it out by 19.30.

One could be forgiven for thinking that they have no idea as to how to sort out the problem and just change the sorted out time more in hope than anything

How infuriating for you

Although I can now access my Virgin Media email browser, at present the only new ones shown in the inbox were the react & quote alerts from Gagajoyjoy which were sent yesterday after I had gone. The 11 which have been done by you today, 2 email notifications from HMRC acknowledging tax returns I have filed today and any other emails which may have been sent to me today are missing.
Posters on the Down Detector site are saying the same thing.

What no-one knows yet is will those missing emails turn up in our inboxes some time or are they lost.
