Thunderstorms between now and 6 o’clock. The radar images look evil

Met Office has just issued an amber warning which covers an area  including mine and yours. Besides the thunder it's likely that we'll get 30-40mm of rain in half an hour, perhaps 60mm in an hour for some locations, frequent lightning strikes, winds that may gust to 45 mph, and some large hail stones perhaps up to 4cm in diameter will also accompany the storms.
If that 4cm is accurate that is exceptionally large and very dangerous.

Good grief El that’s shocking

Moonie

It's started, thunder in the area but more noise coming from the hailstones crashing into windows, and raining hard.
Hail's eased a bit now.

I think some places will get it worse than here.

We’ve just had one heck of a storm here but it’s over now bar the odd rumble of thunder

I think my county has escaped the worst of the storms which have moved away, that's what the local news site is saying
Moonie, I hope your area has escaped the worst too.

All okay here El

Odd phone call just now. Silent then a recorded voice saying something like "Calman Technologies can't take you rcall at present" I just put the phone down. Not the first time I've had such a call, I think it must be some sort of cold call which didn't work as intended.

Good to see you’re on the ball El

Can't imagine it's a very comfortable ride El...

I would think it more comfortable than the original velocipedes, particularly those with wheels made from wood, another word for those was boneshakers

An apt nickname

I have a couple of friends that can ride unicycles

Not the sort of thing one would expect from a kangaroo, Skippy would not be impressed:

There was the time when "boxing" kangaroos with people would be shown on television.

It is still mating season for them atm

Skippy would be above such behaviour

Good morning everyone

Another warm and sunny day here. Forecast to be a bit cooler tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good day

Let's hope it's not too warm for our cricket team today

I see we won the toss and are batting first

These discoveries don't get any prettier do they El

It's amazing really how these fossils have remained preserved & hidden for so many years

I think the Isle of Wight had geology which make it a good place for finding prehistoric fossils
