Well, I guess those millions of viewers were happy to have their schedules altered at short notice

The official BARB viewing figures for that are:
Happy Valley on BBC 1 8,522,000
at the same time as that interview on ITV 1 6,310,000

I read it was only 4.1m
I'm not included in that equation I hasten to add....
Couldn't care less....
@El Loro posted:By the way, tonight's "Midsomer Murders" has Kevin Whately in.
Not sure if that's a come down or not?

Neither was I
Could be that 6.3 million started watching but only 4.1 million watched it all

So a good few came to their senses then

Morse/Lewis/Endeavour were far superior series to Midsomer IMO
By the way Midsomer has featured Clare Holman, Abigail Thaw, Anton Lesser & Roger Allam over the years but not John Thaw or Shaun Evans.

As a Morse fan I would 2/3rds agree with you
Roger Allam needs no series
night EL slim moonsieee
Good morning everyone
A fairly sunny day here, a high of 18° forecast so not quite as warm.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning Buddies
Just been to put my washing out. It is cold out there
We could get to 18 degrees but somehow I doubt it
Have a nice day everyone

Slim, you mention recently about Katharine Hepburn having a strong rebel like character.
Sky Arts has a new documentary about her this evening at 8 pm to 10 pm.
Not much info about this, a link to the imdb page on this with a little bit of information:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13093834/?ref_=tt_urv
The Kat Kramer mentioned in the cast is the daughter of Stanley Kramer who directed "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"
If you are inclined to watch it I suggest you read the user reviews. Mention is made of some voice over intended to be Hepburn but doesn't really sound like her. Also some comments about her being self-absorbed. Her giving up acting for 6 years to care for Spencer Tracy in his latter years would seem to me that those comments aren't wholly accurate.

Thank you El
A handful of mixed user reviews there.
I might well take a look myself, although 2hours may prove a bit too much for me

You might want to have a look at the director's imdb page at her biography and the handful of films she's made before deciding to try that documentary:

Lorna Tucker?
I wonder if any of you remember this from 1965:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia1vnKfIhpA
Very popular in Italy and elsewhere.
Did appear in a tv film/programme in this country called "TG comes to town" in 1966 - that's probably lost. In that, he appeared with Joe Melia. I can vaguely remember seeing that.
@El Loro posted:Yes, Lorna Tucker
Actually, I can see that Katherine Hepburn would be the sort of person Lorna Tucker would want to have something to do with
Strong women!

I remember Topo Gigio El .

One of those taking part in Saturday's Pointless Celebrities was Nathan Byron who mentioned some programme called "Rye Lane" which he wrote with a Tom Melia. That reminded me of Joe Melia and in turn Topo Giglio

For historical reasons I think he's done a fantastic job, the way he's layered the negatives to create the effect
They're not to my liking though tbh...I wouldn't have them on my wall

I can't say that I like the photos either, Slim but they are artistic and, as you say, are a historic record of that time
