Mystery case. It was the dog...I wouldn't top myself and leave my dog alone. And believe me I've taken 100 paracetamol I was still there that night.
So was Dolly.
On the subject of dogs. Eddie and Keela did the McCanns.

Good morning Buddies
A nice sunny start to the day here. We could hit 20 degrees today
Hi Velvet
I hope all is well with you and the family
Have a nice day everyone
Velvet, I remember reading an item in the local newspaper many years ago in the 1970s where the journalist said that someone in Gloucester had a dark secret. That would have been about several young women having disappeared,
Years later in 1992 the Wests were arrested.

Photos of a few of the 5,000 new species identified which have been found in the Pacific Ocean:

But under one of the photos is this warning : "There are plans to mine the zone for deep-sea metals which could put the nature of the area at risk."

Good morning everyone
Another warm and sunny day here.
Small update on that sinkhole. Severn Trent say it's not water related. So it's the local council highways department to do the repair work. Road expected to be closed for another 2 weeks.
I hope everyone has a good day

Thatâs a bit worrying if itâs not water causing the sinkhole. You may live on a sinkhole area
Good morning Buddies
A bright sunny start to the day here. Itâs supposed to remain like it all
We shall see
Enjoy your day everyone
@Moonie posted:Thatâs a bit worrying if itâs not water causing the sinkhole. You may live on a sinkhole area
Moonie, the sinkhole might have been caused by a combination of things such as the amount of rain in the area for some weeks here, general issues with road maintenances locally, but more likely the number of heavy goods vehicles going down that road, a road not really intended for those.
Work is ongoing in the construction of a new access road in the area on to the A40 Northern bypass. It's hoped that once that's done, heavy vehicles will be able to use that in preference to roads which aren't really suitable for them.
The road where the sinkhole is would have been more for agricultural use rather than mining years ago, so won't be something like a mine shaft.

Slim, very little of interest on the Talking Pictures tv channel over the coming week. There's a very short item under the "Look at Life" slot on Wednesday at 17.45. From 1965, a look at the River Thames from its source in Gloucestershire to the Port of London, where services are being modernised in order to keep traffic moving.
There's a hamlet about 4 miles south of Cheltenham called "Seven Springs". That's where the source of the river Churn is which joins the Thames near Cricklade. Thames Head near Kemble is the official source of the Thames. There are those who say that it should be Seven Springs as that is further away from the mouth of the Thames than Thames Head.
There's an episode of "Midsomer Murders" which might get shown this evening but ITV could well decide not to at the last moment. May be the first time shown in the UK but it was shown in Sweden in August 2021.
It's the 5th episode of the 22nd series. There's a 6th episode of that series and there are 4 episodes in the 23rd series which have been made and shown elsewhere.
The programme is produced by Bentley Productions, a subsidiary of All3Media which is a British company producing programmes and films internationally.

I used to watch Midsomer Murders' when John Nettles was in charge

Slim, the episode had been scheduled to be shown months ago but was taken off by ITV at short notice to show something else, some interview with that Harry
