There's always this great fascination with The Titanic. Look at Antiques Road show.

Let the dead rest in peace and stop salvage hunting.

Only my opinion      I come in peace

The article states that no-one is allowed to touch the wreckage, which is how it should be.

I don't see it as any different from walking through a graveyard...we have some beautiful graveyards in this country.
Some epitaphs can be very emotive

Correct

How do relics appear on The Antiques Roadshow then?

And who would want to buy one. They should deffo leave that alone. A cemetary as you say

I wouldn't want to handle one. I know it  didn't sink instantly but feck me

I would hope they were items brought off the ship at the time of it's sinking, but I suppose not all will have been.

But one would need specialist equipment to go down that deep....and not likely to go unnoticed.

In other news a new build Royal Navy frigate has been sabotaged in Glasgow. They've effed it whoever they are. Cut all the cabling. Only in Glasgow. I think the ship is called HMS Glasgow

We really are weak - feckin hell

Bet it took a lot of thought to think that name up Velvet

It maddens and saddens me in equal measure as to the disregard some have for the cost of needless vandalism

Article on the BBC site about a new 3-D digital scan of the wreck of the Titanic showing what it would look like if the ocean water wasn't there.
Includes a 1 minute video which has no sound, I found it a bit disturbing,

Is Michelangelo's statue of David pornographic?

Well I wouldn't say so El.
...and I don't see how one would connect David with pizza, but to complain about his nudity is a bit silly imo.

Over the pond in America there's been a case of a head teacher being forced to resign for having their sixth form students look at pictures of the statue of David in their Art lessons ...the parents claimed it was pornography

I had heard about that in the States

The teacher has since visited the Accademia Galleria. where the statue is at the invite of the museum director:
