The European Space Agency were due to launch a satellite to Jupiter today. The mission was to see if any of Jupiter's moons could sustain life, not to try to find life but to see if the conditions were such that life might be possible. That would be microbial organisms. The icy moons Callisto, Europa and Ganymede would be those which might.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the launch has had to be postponed

Slim, not much new of interest on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week.
"The Lone Wolf Keeps a Date" (1941) is on Thursday at 16.55.

On Saturday at 21.30 there's "Human Desire" (1954). Film noir directed by Fritz Lang, and starred Glenn Ford, Gloria Grahame and Broderick Crawford". It was based on Emile Zola's novel "La BÊte Humaine". Jean Renoir made the French 1938 film of that title which starred Jean Gabin and Simone Simon which is regarded as a French classic. A good film but is dark.
