Slim, not much new of interest on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week.
On Thursday morning at 11.05 there's "Bush Christmas" (1947). It is a children's film made for the Children's Film Foundation. It's possibly the one film made for the CFF which became quite well known and was even shown in the House of Lords. It was made in Australia (hence the title) and includes Chips Rafferty, possibly the first Australian film actor to become well known internationally.
Also on Thursday at 18.05 is another Lone Wolf film "The LW takes a chance" (1941).

Thank you El

8 minute Youtube clip of an interview given by the pianist Eileen Joyce (audio only):

Interview doesn't mention that she was the performer of the moist famous piece of classical piano music in the history of films. Incidentally that piece of music is now Classic FM's number one.

Interesting interview El â€Ķ.I vaguely remember her .What was the piece of piano music ?

Bins are usually emptied on a Tuesday here but the bank holiday has made them a day late...and thankfully I can hear them on their arrival cos had forgotten to put ours out

Locally, they empty bins etc on Bank Holiday Mondays other than over the Christmas period,

Just heard my neighbour return home and popped out to have a quick word with them. I was returning home this morning and saw the postman trying to put an A4 envelope through their letterbox, giving up and deciding to put it in their recycling box outside. So they've now got that envelope
