I desperately need to go on a diet.

I'm baking chocolate brownies tomorrow, so it looks like the diet will need to wait until Monday.

Oops, forgot your Jelly Babies.

Why do diets always have to start on Mondays?

And end on Tuesdays.

Not sure, Ros. I believe there are certain times of year when they are more vocal.

Apparently singing is associated with courtship and mating, so now that the breeding season is coming to an end, maybe your blackbird doesn't need to sing so much.

Sorry didnt explain that well, comp on a go slow again. If you are a romantic you will enjoy it, a woman embarks on an affair with a man passing thru to take photos of a bridge. Its very intense, you may need some tissues !  x

The blackbird's song is a nice one.

I love my garden birds and I'm forever buying seed and nuts for them.

Mr Yogi says they are the best fed birds in Scotland - he exaggerates.

*collects from yogi* thank you Sorry I missed you, I had a really lovely bath, very relaxed now Squiggle I do sympathise, in the past I've suffered terrible hayfever etc but I hear sinus troubles are more painful is there a more natural remedy you could use to ease your symptoms? An aromatherapy bath maybe? El, loved those olds pics- I wondered where the name Quaggle originated from? Skylark, I'm really glad you enjoyed your show, shows are one of my favourite nights out! Did you ever see the film the wedding singer? There's a stage show version, mr summer took me a few years ago and it was unbelievable! One of my top 3 shows ever Yogi, Stream's behaviour has changed; she refuses to walk with my SIL and is sticking like glue to my BIL- her original owner since puppyhood. Also she won't play with the kennel dogs like usual, it seems like too much bother for her. Those are classic signs of early pregnancy, but there's no way of actually finding out at this point. It may be phantom too. I'm hopeful, but have to remain patient, i would expect to find out if she was pregnant in about 4-5 weeks from now Ros, I'll see you in the penthouse then, looks like we're the last ones up as usual Sweet dreams buddies
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Summer, quagga was the Khoikhoi word for zebra. The Khoikhoi (which means peoplepeople) are the native people of South Western Africa going back to at least the 5th century.

Squiggle, sometimes I find that Boots blackcurrant pastilles help to reduce coughing. I hope your sinus problems have lessened

El Loro

Good morning everyone, thank you all for your kind wishes and remedies.  I have my silk scarf on this morning, don't laugh but its what my mum used to swear by.  I find when I have any sort of sore throat or sinus thing a silk scarf around the neck seems to warm up the whole area and get it all moving if you get my drift.

It was lovely reading back all the blackbird singing, jelly baby sharing posts.  The Bridges of Madison County I loved loved loved the book but unfortunately hated the film because I had a clear picture in my mind of the characters and Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep were definitely not them.  It is such an intensely romantic story, in a way it reminds me of the film I watched yesterday, how true love can be timeless and eternal.

squiggle
good morning. I believe I can see a bit of blue sky among the clouds, and.. Could it be..? Sunshine?!! if only for an hour I will enjoy every single moment of it Thank you El, Khoikhoi, very interesting much more so than a zorse! Squiggle, keep that silk scarf round you all day if you can, I've not heard of that before but I shall certainly try it at some point. I hope you feel a little better today
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone.    It's a lovely sunny, warm day here today.  Just popped in to say a quick hello to all my wonderful buddies.  It is a pleasure to be apart of this thread and I miss you all when I am unable to be here.

Squiggle, I really hope that you feel better soon.  Never heard the silk scarf remedy but I will certainly try it when the need arises.  Hope these  and  help you get well soon.

Hope you all enjoy your day whatever you are up to.

Joyron

Afternoon everyone. Sunshine and showers up here. It's better than the pouring rain we've had recently.

I still haven't received the new charger for my laptop (delivery was estimated between 12-16th) and the old one is really playing up. If I disappear for a few days, you'll understand why.

Love the pic, Squiggle - and feeling the love, which is always a good thing.

Hope to return later, charger permitting.
