Cloudy here and forecast to het rain much of the day. Looks as if the weather becomes more settled from tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning Buddies
I hope I find you all in good health
El, rain forecast here all day
Enjoy your day everyone
So far here, it's been rainy rather than pouring down but looks as if it will be wetter for much of the rest of the day.
Slim, I hope you don't get flooded by that river
I think I've completed my stage one work on that complicated client's accounts, Stage 2 won't be until May/June time.

Nope no chance of being flooded, unlike those who live closer.
Well done on completing stage one of your work El
Time for a holiday until stage two maybe?

Similar to where I live. The road which runs parallel to mine is just at the edge of a flood risk area.
Thanks re your well done

We're a 2minute walk from the river but the water would have to rise a fair bit more to reach us

Good morning everyone
Still raining here but forecast to come to an end in a couple of hours and more settled weather arrives.
As mentioned by the Met Office, it's been the wettest March in England since 1981.
The local weather recording station about a mile from my house recorded 113.2 mm of rain for March.
I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning Buddies
A dull start to the day here
A high of 11 degrees expected here with thick cloud and a gentle breeze
Have a good day everyone
Saw what must have been an unmarked police car responding to an emergency as it shot past me on the bypass at a speed which must have been close to 100 mph (blue lights flashing but no siren as that lane of the bypass didn't have any other vehicles on).

Good morning everyone
Very cloudy here at present though forecast to get brighter,
I hope everyone has a good day
Slim, not much of interest on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week.
On Tuesday at 3.35 in the morning there's a film called "The Mysterious Mr Davis" which is an early film featuring Alastair Sim. Not a recommendation as it seems to be a bad film. It seems that it was made in 1936 but held back from release until 1939 when it was released as part of a double bill. It was directed by Claude Autant-Lara, the French director, making a rare British film.
On Thursday at 16.25 there's "Return to Yesterday" (1940). Drama about a man torn between returning to Hollywood and staying at a small theatre company in a seaside town. Set in thew last summer before WW2. It was filmed at Teignmouth.
On Friday at 17.00 there's another Lone Wolf film "The Lone Wolf Meets a Lady" (1940).
Good morning Buddies
An overcast start to the day here
The forecast is for sunny intervals and a gentle breeze with a high of 11°
Have a good day everyone

Thank you El
I'm interested by the film shot in Teignmouth, if only to see if I can recognise any of the scenery
I finished watching the 'Lone Wolf' you posted about last week....it was alright, so I might give this one a look

I think that much of the film was shot at the Ealing Film studios is London so don't expect to see a lot of Teignmouth
Incidentally, the film was adapted by a play called ""Goodness, How Sad!" written by Robert Morley, better known as an actor. His acting career started in theatres, touring regional theatres, writing some plays such as this one, and when work was short he would be selling vacuum cleaners, During that time he started his own repertory theatre (with another actor, Peter Bull) at Cornish seaside resort of Perranporth. So he may have come up with the idea for that play from his own experiences.

That's a shame, Teignmouth can be quite beautiful ...if shot at the right angle

I have indeed Moonie
I knew that the work would take longer than for a normal year for that client which is why I wanted to do as much as I could before the start of the next tax year (later this week) not that I'm expecting much tax return work to come in then
