Good morning everyone
Some sunshine at times here, more rain forecast. Although February had little rain, the rain so far this month pushes the total for the year to date above average for January to the end of March in my part of the country. The rest of the month is forecast to remain unsettled,
I hope everyone has a good day
Afternoon El I hope you are having a good day . I saw something on the news yesterday where they were predicting droughts this summer because of last years heatwave , and the exceptionally dry January and February .

Yes, I saw this BBC news article yesterday:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/sci...environment-64966953
The reference to the Met Office forecast of a dry spring was taken from their 3 month forecast issued at the end of February so before the wet weather started - they forecast a 30% chance being dry, 60% near average and 10% wet.

Slim, little new of interest on the Talking Pictures tv channel this coming week,
There's an American film called "Walk East on Beacon" (1952) a sort of docudrama about an FBI agent assigned to track down a communist sleeper cell. The film was based on a Reader's Digest article by J Edgar Hoover. Unlikely to be of much interest other than that Finlay Currie is in the film. He's generally thought of as being in British films rather than American films. Also in a small role is George Roy Hill, much better known as the director of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "The Sting".
The film on Thursday at 15.10 is only of interest to fans of George Formby films - "Keep Fit" (1937).

Started work on a client's accounts. Although the accounts are for the year to this 5 April I'm doing work now covering the period to last 31 December.
The work is exceptionally complex for just this one year which is why I wanted to tackle it before routine tax return work starts coming in late April. It's too much for the client to do themselves even though they have an accountancy background.
My fee will be somewhat larger than normal as a result

I'm sure he'll be glad to pay the extra fee to have the job done properly El
It's never too early to get things started if it means having less to do in the longer term.

A lengthy BBC article about the smallest football league in the world:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64987864
It's worth a read even if you have no interest in football,
I'm not aware that a film has ever been made about it though I can see potential, a sort of 1950s gentle British comedy type of film.
