Gregory Ratoff and Anne Baxter had been together in a couple of films before. The major film was "All About Eve", he was the producer Max Fabian and she was Eve.

deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". The film was ranked No. 16 on AFI's 1998 list of the 100 best American films.

It was a good film, and of course Bette Davis acted her socks off

The BFI of all time has 'The Railway Children' at no:66
That must be a misprint surely

The BFI carried out the survey on 1,000 people from the world of British films and television, not the general public. So although many people would choose "The Railway Children" as their favourite British film, those surveyed wouldn't be basing their choices on popularity.
For instance Joseph Losey's "The Servant" is in 22nd place. I doubt if many of the general public would have the same view. Losey didn't do popular films. The one you are most likely to have seen was his "The Go-Between"  (57th place) though I can't say I liked it. (No, I haven't seen "The Servant" as it's not a film I want to see).

Slim, I haven't spotted anything on the Talking Pictures tv channel which might be of interest to you which I haven't mentioned before. The film on Thursday at 15.10 (the timeslot where older films are being shown) is "Let's Be Famous" (1939) but unless you are a fan of Jimmy O'Dea an Irish comedian of that era it's unlikely to be of interest.

Film 4 has "Gideon of Scotland Yard" AKA "Gideon's Day) (1958) on Tuesday at 11.00. That's been shown before. A police procedural film starring Jack Hawkins and it was directed by John Ford. A good film.

They're quite picturesque but not anything like the clouds we would normally see in form are they El...
I think I prefer the softer fluffy looking ones

A week ago last Sunday I saw as was getting up a long strip of cloud stretching across the sky with red edges above and below. More picturesque than those clouds
