A local news article about 5 railways stations which ceased to be years ago:
https://www.gloucestershireliv...ucestershire-7470012
In order of the 5 photos shown of those stations, the one I remember best was the first, the Gloucester Eastgare one of course. In the photo you can see a railway bridge on the left, That bridge was a walkway to the other Gloucester railway station, the one which still exists.
The second one is of the Bishops Cleeve station. That was on the railway line which used to go from Cheltenham to Stratford upon Avon. That line was closed down but part of the line is still in use as a hertiage line (Gloucester & Warwickshire) running from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway. The Bishops Cleeve station is no more but was between the Racecourse and Gortheringon. Although I remember going past the Bishops Cleeve station I wouldn't have got out there.
The third one of of Chirchdown station, That was the one between Gloucester and Cheltenham so I remember going past that station in the train many times.
The fourth one is of Newent station. There used to be a line from Gloucester to Ledbury and that went through Newent. That line closed in 1959 and I have no memory of ever going on that line.
The fifth one is of Ashchurch station. That was on the outskirts of Tewkesbury. I remember passsing that ststion and think I got out there one. The station shown closed in 1971 but a new one was built in 1997. The new one looks nothing like the original.

British PathÃĐ had a series of short films under the banner "Eve's Film Review" from about 1921 to 1933. This very short film dates from 1922:
Good morning Buddies
A sunny but rather cool start to the day here. No rain expected
Enjoy your day everyone
Notable film versions of Romeo and Juliet with the name of the actor who played Romeo:
1936 First major US adaptation directed by George Cukor - Leslie Howard
1954 First notable British adaptation - Laurence Harvey
1968 The one directed by Franco Zefferrelli = Leonard Whiting
1996 The one directed by Baz Luhrmann - Leonardo DiCaprio
Strange that their first names all start with L.
Although MGM staged a theatrical production in 1940 with Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, it wasn't a success so no film made.
Here's a list of the films by the famous late French film director Jean-Luc Godard that I've seen and think are worth watching:
That wasn't a typo.Closest film of his which was watchable was "Alphaville" which was a sort of cross between a hard-boiled private eye and bleak science fiction. Can't say I enjoyed it at all.
Just had someone ringing me about Amazon Prime and he rang off after a few seconds so didn't get very far with trying to scam me.
Considering that Amazon dom't have customers landline numbers, only mobile ones, the chances of the caller being genuine are about 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%.

That number is so small that if you took that percentage as a percentage of the number of atoms in the world, it would be only a tiny fraction of 1 atom

Got an email this morning with an invoice from the company I get my accountancy/tax courses. Wasn't expecting any invoice. Invoice relates to some courses I booked in August last year. I've emailed back for a credit note to be raised.
I think they changed their accounting systems in the last few months and that this has caused the error.

I shouldn't be, there's no direct debit payment in place so they can't take it out of my bank. I've had an automated reponse to say that I should get a reply within 3 working days.
American B53 bomber was roaming in my area yesterday:

I did hear it but it was too cloudy to see anything.

I knew someone who was part of the ground crew of "squadron 617 RAF" though at some point in time after the end of WW2. That's the "Dambusters".
