About 30 years ago I was working in Cheltenham and was walking from the car park to where I was going to. Waited to cross a road and noticed a younger man also waiting. I thought he looked a bit like a young Stan Laurel though didn't say anything/
Then just as we were to cross over he put a hand to his hair and did that famous mannerism of Stan Laurel's

I'd have thought they would be more equipped for the heat, unlike us

It's 30°C here now...a 5 degree increase in an hour.

According to the very local weather measuring station at 14.48 the temperature was 38.3° though has since come down to 37.7°
That's not an official measuring station though.

That's outside of course, not indoors where it's somewhat cooler.

After I posted, the temperature shown on the very local weather measuring station went up again though has since come down.
At its peak it's showing at 16.03 this afternoon 38.8°. That breaks the highest ever recorded temperature in this country of 38.7° though won't count as a new record as isn't official. In any case it will be broken elsewhere today or tomorrow.

Good morning everyone

I was able to get a fair night's sleep despite it being a very warm night. Another very hot day today but starting to cool down by the evening.

Virgin Media maintenance day in my area so likely to be a loss of internet connection (and phone).

I hope everyone has a good and safe day

Take care El

Shower repair guy decided to arrive early here
At least the upstairs bathroom will be back in action

The films I recognised in that clip in the order shown were Gladiator, The Wizard of Oz, Gravity, Thelma & Louise (haven't ever watched the film), The Graduate, North by Northwest, The Aviator and AmÃĐlie.

Yeah got 3 of those plus, Terminator 2, Billy Elliot and the sci-fi one with the four figures...saw that recently but can't remember what it's called
