Good morning Buddies

A cool overcast start to the day here. Sunshine promised until early evening when the rain will arrive

Have a good day everyone

Met Office have issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms but we're not in the area covered. My brother is though. Met Office assess the risk of problems as low.

Another one of those washing machine insurance scam callers claiming that I had overpaid ÂĢ119 when I bought the machine 5 years ago. Apparently it's a Hotpoint one. Oddly enough when I said that I'd never had a Hotpoint one the phone went dead

Aren't they a nuisance El
I remember a call I had wanting me to claim for a car accident I had had in my car...when I don't even have a drivers licence let alone a car

I might have said before but Dad got an answer-phone specifically for  this reason...those type of callers won't speak to a machine

The other day I got one of those loft insulation callers ringing about British Lung Foundation referring to some types of insulation causing irritation to lungs. I get those calls from time to time. They are from questionable outfits trying to con people into getting expensive insulation done by them. I put the phone down.
When I did a check on the phone number I saw that someone had posted that the caller was a chatbot

I guess the chatbot dials and holds on until someone picks up at the other end, then a human takes over the call...maybe?

I think that chatbot, which sounded real, once it had lulled you into a false sense of security by saying things like being GDPR compliant, and explaining that they couldn't send a cheque due to the pandemic, would then have passed you over to their supervisor, the human scammer.

For some reason the Windows 10 search bar at the bottom of the screen was showing icons relating to international tea day for some reason.
I right clicked on the task bar, then hovered over the Search option, saw that Show search icon was ticked. So I cleared the tick and those tea icons have gone.

That’s very weird El

At least your back to ‘normal’ now
