morning After returning to my old breakfast habit of special k & blueberries yesterday, I found myself hungry all morning. So today, I'm going back to my more recent habit of porridge, apple & blueberry flavour! It's an interesting experiment, I'm fuller for longer after porridge and have dropped 5lb recently. I also really like the texture! That's my thought for the morning What are you all up to today? *leaves out large pot of porridge & selection of fruits & juices*
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone.  That apple and blueberry porridge sounds interesting, what make is it Summer?  I love muesli EL but unfortunately I can't take too much of it, I think it must be too high in fibre.  I have to get the fibre just right, I love the apricot wheats from Sainsburys but they are very high in fibre.

Have you noticed it can be very difficult to get little items home from the supermarket?  I popped into Sainsburys yesterday and wanted to get a new pen, I saw an eraser and thought yes I need one of those, I bought it, I paid for it, I am sure I got it in the bag, where is it now?

Its quite a lovely morning here and seems much fresher, nice blue sky, little white clouds, great.  Have a good day whatever you're doing.

For those with access to BBC4 make a note to watch Timothy Spall Back At Sea on Wednesday of next week at 8.30pm.  I don't know whether anyone caught the first series Somewhere At Sea (incidentally The Queen requested a DVD of it)  but its about Timothy Spall and his wife Shane and their seagoing barge Matilda.  They are a lovely down to earth couple and a joy to watch.  They are voyaging around Britain, last time from Cornwall to Devon and across to Wales (I think they started in Cornwall I know they definitely sailed past where I live and actually moored in Ilfracombe I think although I didn't know at the time).  This time they are crossing the Irish Sea heading from Wales to Scotland.

Good morning everyone.  It's sunny up here and not so sticky.

Thank you for the fruit and juice, Summer. I'm not keen on the porridge - as a Scot, I should be embarrassed by that fact. *hangs head in shame*

I know what you mean about small items disappearing from your shopping, I find the same thing happens with garlic bulbs.

Squiggle, I'll look out for the Timothy Spall programme. I never saw the first one but it sounds interesting.

Good afternoon everyone.    Oh boy it's really hot and sticky here today.

Lovely picture of the dogs Yogi.  We had a Border Collie called Holly for 14 years and when she died I said I would never have another dog.  It was so painful losing her.  However hubby really would like to have another dog; two in fact so they would be company for each other.  I've told him that he can do that but only when he has retired from work and can look after the dogs himself.

That sounds like a good idea, Joyron. While your hubby is out walking the dogs, you can come on here and chat to us.

Good morning everyone

Skylark I hope you have a better day than yesterday

Yesterday evening I went to a client to deliver the copies of the accounts I had run off (30 copies). He lives in a flat which is in an exclusive part of Cheltenham and is fairly luxurious. Although he works, he is a bit of an artist at heart and there are a lot of paintings and tapestries around the flat. While I was there I saw spread out on the table a large red robe covered with embroidery and white sequins. I asked about this and it is his wife's work, it has taken her a long time and is clearly a labour of love. She comes from the Philippines which has a very strong Christian population. She is making it for a statue of Jesus there.

I don't know which statue, but the most famous one is the Black Nazarene which is life size and is carried through the streets in procession. This is an image to give you some idea of the robe:
