But not unheard of

Have you ever seen the 1953 film "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr.T"? A fantasy about a boy who gets piano lessons from a dictatorial teacher and dreams of a fantasy world controlled by that teacher who has built a colossal piano which needs 500 children to play it. It's not written by Roald Dahl but by Dr Seuss. Very unusual film and rarely shown on television.

The 'T' stands for Tremendous, Terrific, Tuneful and (entertainmenT spelt backwards)

No I haven't seen it but can imagine it being a bit bonkers .. written by Dr Suess

I must admit the piano is my favourite instrument.

It says things a guitar will never do

Very atmospheric
The island of Hirta is the main island in the St Kilda archipelago and was abandoned in 1930 so no permanent residents there now, hence the title of the album.
The British director Michael Powell made a film in 1937 called "The Edge of the World" which was about the people leaving Hirta. (film actually filmed in Foula in the Shetlands but was about Hirta).

There's a bit of footage of that track on a video. I couldn't find it though. Yeah atmospheric indeed

It's hard to believe that an island could be so bad that everyone leaves and then to remain permanently uninhabited.

Maybe we should make all our MP's spend a year or two there in order to keep their jobs....let's see how dedicated they are

Talking Pictures are begining to repeat. I think they've done the 60's - my fave era.

Edgar Wallace is still great. And Herbert Lom.  77 RW was in the last Edgar. The original E-Type. Even I know that.

I don't usually approve of writers for the 'Daily Mail', but I'll make an exception for Edgar Wallace

Herbert Charles Angelo Kuchačevič ze Schluderpacheru aka Herbert Lom (think I'd change my name too)
A great actor...loved his character in the 'Pink Panther' films

Oh.. I didn't know that.

The Brothers Grimm collected folk stories from Germany and elsewhere and published them generally in a sanitised version as the original stories would often be too much for publication. You can find out about the origins of stories such as Sleeping Beauty but it's very unpleasant and far removed from a children's fairy tale.

So more like horror stories originally then

Got a phone call today about claiming tax back on my PPI claim. I knew this was a scam and terminated the call.
Yes, there is the potential for people to be able to reclaim tax from a PPI claim but tax is only deducted from the compensation interest element, not the refund of premiums and not the refund of any historic interest element. But anyone who may have had a PPI claim should contact HMRC direct, not fall for someone ringing you.
