I was just about to ring a client to say that some papers he said he was going to post to me last Wednesday hadn't arrived when the postman has just delivered them

If it was a Royal Mail delivery, they put out that they were having problems with staffing and that there would be delays in some areas

Slimfern, I don't think the Royal Mail areas affected are in this part of the country or from where the client is, they seem to be more in the northern part of the country.

It's running OK now that the graphics board has been replaced. Because of the microchip global shortage, the choices are very restricted. So it's a basic card which is adequate for the time being.
Computer will have to be replaced once the chip shortage eases. With the hard drives and graphics board having to be replaced this year, it's only a matter of time before the motherboard goes.

It's unlikely to be until next year that the microchip shortage starts to ease.

He wrote the music to accompany a play called Shylock, the character from The Merchant of Venice.
There are some pieces of gold in the music.
