According to them it's currently sunny internals with a 5% chance of rain (their minimum risk)

The author of that letter to Santa has been found. He's a retired policeman. And, yes, he did receive some of the Christmas presents he had requested. Amongst them was a sheriff's badge.

You may have heard or seen news about a thyroid medication having been sold by some companies to the NHS with huge price increases - one of those companies has been fined £100m.

The medication is called liothyronine. It is different to the one many people have including myself - levothyroxine.
Both medications are for the same purpose but the liothyronine is prescribed for those people who don't respond to levothyroxine.

I note that Talking Pictures is showing "Another Shore" (1948) this evening.
Of note being the second of the Ealing comedies. Don't think I've seen it and it's not one of their better known comedies though was directed by Charles Crichton. He was one of the key directors of Ealing comedies (Hue and Cry is the first Ealing comedy, The Lavender Hill Mob and The Titfield Thunderbolt). H and C is the one with a gang of street boys who foil a master criminal and features Alastair Sim. THLM is the one with Alec Guinness etc trying to smuggle gold bars shaped as little Eiffel towers (and a very early small role by Audrey Hepburn). TTT is the one where volunteers get together to take over their local train service when it's about to be closed.
