Evening all

24degrees today. We did some gardening in the morning while it was cooler.

Aww El, I hope you get your computer sorted quickly

Moonie, I hope you’ve had a good day

Eldest son and BB popped in for a visit and BB helped me water the plants,

Hi Yogi

We had a maximum of 22 degrees here today. Nice breeze. Some sunshine

My day was good fankoo , I hope yours was too

That was a nice surprise for you

Moonie

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here.

Waiting for my computer people to open before contacting them. There's a fault with the graphics board resulting in it being disabled. The basic Windows graphics module is being used. However the screen is full of streaky lines making it difficult to look at. So virtually unusable.

I hope everyone has a good day

El Loro

Thanks Velvet and Moonie

Doesn't seem that a new computer is an option due to that global chip shortage. Very basic ones are still available.
My computer people are trying a card they've got to see it that is any better than the windows basic graphics one.
If it's the windows one then I can still do my work and get online but the resolution would be lower than the one I have used.
And games wouldn't be playable.

Using the notepad my brother gave me some time ago. Screen too small for my liking. Also only one usb port which means that as my client files are on an external drive I can't work on them and be online at the same time.

So at present I can only pop in a couple of times a day rather than being around more.

Let’s hope they can sort something out for you El

My computer is back with a replacement graphics card. It's a fairly basic one but is better than using the Windows Basic Display adaptor (that's built into Windows and kicks in if there's no display card). I had to do some fiddling about with the buttons on the monitor to get the display as I need it.

Hopefully the global chip shortage will get sorted out some time -  Reuters say it could easily last until next year, Intel are saying into 2023  (those being mentioned in the last week). I'm talking about semiconductor chips, not the potato type

I am glad to see you’re up and running again El

Phew, thank goodness for that

Good morning everyone

Heavy showers changing to thunder by lunchtime

I don’t think I will be going very far again today

Have a great day everyone

Met Office now showing thunderstorms for a time here as well this afternoon. They may not happen though, just a chance. There's a bit of drizzle here at present, not of the lemon type
