I notice that the Radio Times website showing programmes on their TV Guide shows no programmes on any TV channel from about 6am Tuesday 27th. That's very unusual. It may be that tv guide magazines such as the Radio Times don't publish any magazines for next week (it would be due to be published tomorrow). It may also mean that programme guides on televisions cease at the same time..

It may be that the organisation which receives details from broadcasters and puts them into the guides has closed down. What ever is the cause, it's far from normal.

El, I have just had a look at the BBC website, schedule for the 27th. Mostly Olympic coverage off and on until 6pm when programmers seem to resume

Thanks. Moonie . That's for BBC One, and the other BBC channels  can be accessed at the links at the bottom.
You can get programme details by going to the sites for other broadcasters. But I was referring to the programme guides for all channels such as the Radio Times and the guides on television used to record programmes.

Met Office issue first ever amber warning for extreme heat from today to Thursday covering a large part of Wales, all of southwest England and parts of southern and central England.

It doesn't mean this heatwave is exceptional, it's a new service brought in by the Met Office from June this year.

Thanks for the information El. I didn’t iknow that

Sue Perkins announced as the new host of Radio 4's "Just a Minute",
Mohit Bakaya, controller of Radio 4, added: "A repetition of Nicholas Parsons' singular, and much missed, genius, was never likely, and a deviation was always on the cards. However, it is without any hesitation that I announce my absolute delight that Sue Perkins has agreed to be the new host of Just a Minute.

I can’t say she is my favourite personality but that’s just my opinion

I don't have a favourite personality as such but first noticed Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc on their Late Lunch programme on Channel 4 back in 1997/98. Didn't always work, but at times it was brilliant if you liked surrealistic humour.
About 10 years later she was in a one off BBC series called Maestro. That was where some celebrities trained to be musical conductors. There's a lot more to it than just waving a baton at the orchestra and of all the "reality shows" there's been that's the hardest. She won that.
