Just had to reply to this before I head off, it must have been very upsetting for her because you don't think of young people like that dying, I hope she felt a bit better after talking to you

He stays for free. At least Harvey doesn't chew any more - he chewed everything (including walls!) when he was a pup.

I first kept him when they bought him. They were about to move house and the timing was all wrong but they were desperate to have him, so I ended up keeping him until they were sorted. Keira was only 9/10 months old at the time and she was brilliant with him, I think that's why they love each other so much.

You should see them snuggled up together when they go to sleep at night - very sweet.

I've never been a cat person but the pics of Zazz and Gypsie's kittens could change my mind.

My son's lab is a big bruiser but he is so friendly, you can't help loving him. My retriever loves him to bits.

Unless I can persuade youngest son to post pics for me, I'm afraid you have no chance.

I am the least techie person in the world and only recently sent my first text. I was so proud of myself, I sent a text to Mr Yogi - it said "I can text". I don't think he was very impressed.

I once asked middle son to teach me but his fingers moved so fast I couldn't see what he was doing, so I gave up.

Then Gypsie asked people to send a text in support of a childrens hospital, so I played around until I figured out how to do it by myself.

No it wasnt awful for me, my son hates anything medical. Very odd considering i have been a nurse for years! i had to go with him for all his appointments. He goes to the dentist no problem, where i dont . I wonder what psychologists would make of that

Good morning everyone

Weatherwise, I think today is going to be a gloriously sunny day for many of us

Skylark, being a bit of a film buff I think the Rock Hudson film you saw was "All that Heaven Allows". "Heaven Can Wait" is a different film "All that Heaven Allows is being repeated on Wednesday afternoon on Film 4.

My film recommendations for the next few days are:

Monday BBC2 11.35 am My Favourite Wife (1940) with Cary Grant

Tuesday Film 4 11.00 am The Men (1950). This was Marlon Brando's film debut and is about war paraplegics. I have never seen this, but it was directed by Fred Zinneman who was a great director (High Noon).

Friday BBC2 11.35 am Letter from an Unknown Woman with Joan Fontaine who said this was her favourite film. A supply of handerchiefs may be needed. It is unusual in that it is directed by Max Ophuls who made most of his films in Europe and this film is European in feel.

El Loro
Morning Dinner last night was delicious! I'm still stuffed now My friend knows mr summer is a migraine sufferer and went to a lot of trouble to make dairy free versions of every course she needn't have because he's medicated at the moment but she still thought it would be better for him! What a real sweetheart Squiggle & yogi, thank you for your kind words about my (hopefully) future puppy, those are lovely comments to wake up to and I loved reading your dog stories too! I decided to start a dog lovers thread last night before I went out, I can't believe how good the response has been! Yogi, your first text was very funny, you did great El, I love your film recommendations, thank you! I've just had Jane eyre arrive from lovefilm; I read the book last year and was gripped, I'm looking forward to seeing the film
