It's uplifting to see Nissan have faith in Sunderland. Good on them

Forecast is now very unsettled from Saturday to next Thursday.
(forecast for Wimbledon is very unsettled from Saturday to Tuesday, huge problems for the organisers)

I have just noticed a weather warning for tomorrow. A thunderstorm is expected between 7pm and 9pm

There's a Met Office warning for thunderstorms covering a large part of England but the warning is for a much longer period from 6 in the morning to midnight.

I have just had a look at tomorrow’s weather here. A 20% to 50% chance of rain all day but no sign of thunderstorms

For those of you who think there isn't enough sport being shown on the BBC, you will be pleased to hear that whilst the Olympics are on, BBC One will be having programmes on that each day from midnight to 6pm and highlights from 7.30pm to 9pm so 19 and a half hours each day. Also coverage at times on BBC Two.

I've been looking at the rainfall maps and saw an area of rain very close by which has white in the middle which signifies torrential downpour which is what one expects from thunderstorms.

Well done to Emma Raducanu for getting to the 4th round at Wimbledon
18 years old and her first major tournament. Her mother is Chinese, her father Romanian, she was born in Canada, but they moved to the UK when she was 2. She is coached by Nigel Sears who is Andy Murray's father in law.
Could well become one of the top British players over the next few years.

Emma Raducanu won the first final of the British Tour events today beating Jodie Burrage over 3 sets.

I posted elsewhere on the forum nearly a year ago

The British Tour events took place last year so that British players could get a bit of match practice.
