Good morning everyone we have a weather warning for rain today from this evening until tomorrow morning.

A lovely quotation EL the most famous bible verse and so true and very comforting. People used to hold signs up at football matches just reading John 3 16. John 3 14 is also very apt 'And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up'

Enjoy your day everyone

With Wimbledon starting tomorrow and the Euros in progress, I think it probably that BBC schedules over the next couple of weeks will be affected to a greater extent than normal during Wimbledon fortnight, particularly BBC One.
May be best to ignore the schedules and watch any programme on iPlayer if possible.
For instance tomorrow evening for BBC One there's no sport scheduled to be shown. But the third match on Central Court is Andy Murray so BBC One will probably ditch everything else to show that match.

Andy Murray won’t bother us again after his match

On paper that's true but anything can happen
BBC does seem to have a history of treating Andy Murray matches as of more important than anything else.
Of course if the weather intervenes we could have his match postponed to Tuesday evening so BBC One could be showing his match and the England Germany match together at the same time

I haven’t watched a full Euros match El. After Tuesday all the home nations will be out of it

Unless the Germans don’t turn up

I've seen very little of the matches either.
The England team is too boring to deserve to win . 2 goals in the 3 matches at group stage, fewer than any of the other teams in the last 16.

Handel's suite in D minor (HWV 437) composed some time between 1703 and 1705. It was originally composed for harpsichord like this:

5 short movements, the 4th movement is Sarabande (at 5 minutes 30 seconds) and is the best known section due to the orchestral version used for the opening and closing credits to Stanley Kubrick's film "Barry Lyndon" (1975). My parents saw the film on television and loved it due being one of those rare films, intelligent, great use of classical music, and one of the best adaptations of a classic book of English literature (William Makepeace Thackeray). My father had quite a number of Thackeray's books, the one best known being "Vanity Fair".
