Film is notable for one reason. About 50 minutes in, the leading actress is singing to some soldiers. Not credited but one of the soldiers in the audience is Alec Guinness. Twenty at the time and was working in theatre then. Wasn't until 12 years later that his film career started with "Great Expectations" (1946).
"Evensong" is old fashioned.

Mum swan on her nest dozing

Dad swan chasing the cygnet

All the coots nests are still intact and occupied

It’s a lovely sunny start to the day here. The forecast is, sunny changing to cloudy in the afternoon

I thought I would check to see the latest info on HMRC about the fourth self-employment income support grant which is claimable late April. I noticed that they would start contacting people who were potentially able to make claims. As I was doing so, I got the email from HMRC saying that I was potentially able to (not that I am). So I've just emailed all my clients, who are potential claimants, to let them know.

BBC article about an unusual beast lurking in a tree in Krakow. People were scared to open their windows in case the beast went into their house.

Animal welfare officers were sent to investigate:

I‘m pleased you’ve had some good weather and managed to get into the garden

I’ve been up the park today too. Another duck has 10 ducklings

The swans are okay. Mum still on the nest, dad and the cygnet still being confrontational. Still that’s nature and the cygnet is okay
