Took my car for a short drive and found that the engine was revving up far too much. Brought it back home, rang my local repair people, and drove it to them to investigate. Hasn't happened before and no warning lights. I know it's a warm day but not like it is in summer so that shouldn't affect the car.

Let’s hope it’s an easy fix El

Hope they can trace the fault and it’s easy to fix

My car repair people rang to say they hadn't found any problem and was driving normally, I've collected it and the drive home was normal.
I had to park the car out in the road yesterday morning. Restarted the car a couple of times to get the car parked next to the pavement and not blocking the lowered kerb outside  the house 2 doors down. (I generally park on the left side of the road rather than the right and that lowered kerb is recent). The only thing I can think of is that restarting the car from cold in rapid succession confused the car system.

I'll see how the car goes to see if this happens again. My car repair people didn't make a charge.

That’s good news at lest El

Good evening all.

Weather was dry and bright in the morning, then cold, showery and windy in the afternoon.

El, I’m glad the garage didn’t charge you as they couldn’t find a fault - good customer service for a regular customer

Moonie, were you at the park today?

It’s GBM at 8pm so I won’t be around later. Have a good evening, everyone

Hi Yogi

At least you had good weather for part of the day

I have been up the park and guess what I saw?

The cygnet was on the island on what looked like a nest. The parks dept had put more straw on the island towards the middle  for the geese to nest on but the cygnet looks like it had commandeered it and built it into a nest

I hope you have a good evening too

Moonie

Afternoon all

Cloudy and chilly in the morning but the sun has popped out.

El, I’m glad I’ve held off planting seeds. I think I’ll leave it another couple of weeks till the cold snap is over.

Moonie, lol at the cygnet taking the nesting materials

GBM again tonight so I won’t be around later. Have a good evening, all

I didn't mention when I went shopping that it was noticeably cooler than the last couple of days with a breeze coming from the north-east. Back to wearing a pullover

When I went up the park yesterday I had a pullover and body warmer on, I needed the pocket storage

I haven’t been up today but if I had it would have required a top coat too
