Not an official reading but my local weather site is currently showing 22.8°
Took my car for a short drive and found that the engine was revving up far too much. Brought it back home, rang my local repair people, and drove it to them to investigate. Hasn't happened before and no warning lights. I know it's a warm day but not like it is in summer so that shouldn't affect the car.

Good morning everyone it should be a mix of cloud and sun today. That happened to my car once years ago EL I was driving a Mini, turned out it was the throttle cable. I hope they can sort it quickly.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Forecast to be nearly as warm here as yesterday but a bit more cloudy.
Thanks Squiggle re my car The mechanic did have a quick look under the bonnet and didn't see anything obviously wrong. I think he was looking at the cable so it may be something else.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Itâs a sunny start to the day here. A high of 21° expected today
Squiggle, I hope you get some sunshine today
El, I hope your car is sorted soon
Have a lovely day everyone

We nearly had WW3 then El?

That was not a possibility as the concern was about the US Strategic Command Twitter account as to whether it had been hacked, which it hadn't

Ah, right

It wasn't a rehash of that 1983 film "War Games" which you might have been thinking of, Young man (Matthew Broderick) accidentally hacks into a top secret super-computer and unintentionally starts the countdown to WW3.
My car repair people rang to say they hadn't found any problem and was driving normally, I've collected it and the drive home was normal.
I had to park the car out in the road yesterday morning. Restarted the car a couple of times to get the car parked next to the pavement and not blocking the lowered kerb outside the house 2 doors down. (I generally park on the left side of the road rather than the right and that lowered kerb is recent). The only thing I can think of is that restarting the car from cold in rapid succession confused the car system.
I'll see how the car goes to see if this happens again. My car repair people didn't make a charge.

True It may be that as they know me, they didn't charge
Good evening all.
Weather was dry and bright in the morning, then cold, showery and windy in the afternoon.
El, Iâm glad the garage didnât charge you as they couldnât find a fault - good customer service for a regular customer
Moonie, were you at the park today?
Itâs GBM at 8pm so I wonât be around later. Have a good evening, everyone

Hi Yogi
At least you had good weather for part of the day
I have been up the park and guess what I saw?
The cygnet was on the island on what looked like a nest. The parks dept had put more straw on the island towards the middle for the geese to nest on but the cygnet looks like it had commandeered it and built it into a nest
I hope you have a good evening too
night yogi moonsie
Good morning everyone it's another day of mild temperatures before they drop tomorrow but it is forecast to be a little windier today.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Forecast to be cooler here than the last couple of days. By Monday night time temperature down to zero and a high of 7°.
Thanks Yogi re my car repair people not charging
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Itâs a much cooler today the start to the day here. The forecast is, overcast changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime. A possible high of 12°. About 10° lower than yesterday
I hope everyone has a lovely day
Met Office clip on Youtube with their 10 day forecast:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yAWjHYBcb8
It's longer than typical forecasts at 7 minutes.
The message is don't plant anything over the Easter weekend as there will be frosts each night. Next week is cold, should start getting a bit warmer the following weekend but not like the last couple of days.
@El Loro posted:Moonie, slightly higher here forecast of 14°
El, Iâve just been outside and itâs bitter cold
Not nice at all after yesterday

Thatâs great news El
I didn't mention when I went shopping that it was noticeably cooler than the last couple of days with a breeze coming from the north-east. Back to wearing a pullover
Afternoon all
Cloudy and chilly in the morning but the sun has popped out.
El, Iâm glad Iâve held off planting seeds. I think Iâll leave it another couple of weeks till the cold snap is over.
Moonie, lol at the cygnet taking the nesting materials
GBM again tonight so I wonât be around later. Have a good evening, all

When I went up the park yesterday I had a pullover and body warmer on, I needed the pocket storage
I havenât been up today but if I had it would have required a top coat too
