If anything happens I hope it's behind the scenes rather than in public
The Professional Game Match Officials organisation is responsible for match officials for professional football. It appoints the Select Group of referees for the Premier League (& FA Cup and EFL Cup). In due course they'll be looking through the match reports. Also all referees are evaluated by former referees for things such as accuracy and consistency.

Evening all

We had fog until 11am, then it was sunny and very chilly.

Nothing exciting to report, just did housework in the morning and read in the afternoon.

Love the white rainbow

Hope you’ve all had a good day

Hi Yogi

I’ve just been outside to reclaim my household refuse bin. It really quite cold out there

It's not a warm day here either

I'm waiting for my old green recycling box to be replaced. May arrive some time this week or early next week. It's plastic, the old box now has a hole at the bottom of one of the sides and there are cracks in the base near that hole. It would only get worse if I continued to use it. The collectors tend to throw boxes down once they've removed the contents,

Here we have:
a black wheelie bin for non-recyclable household waste (emptied every other week)
a green wheelie bin for garden compostable items (emptied on alternate weeks to the black one)
a green recycling box for items such as plastic bottles and tins, or, alternatively, glass bottles & jars (some houses have two such boxes, I have one) (emptied every week)
a blue sack for paper and cardboard (every week)
and a brown caddy for food waste (every week)

Not good for anyone who is colour blind

Didn't have to buy the garden waste wheelie bin, but pay ÂĢ44 each year.

Hope all are okay. Computer, swans, tiddlers

@velvet

I’m not usually on till 8pm (ish) but wanted to reply to your post.

The tiddlers are fine and happy to be back at school - I think they both missed the company of their friends.

They know that Granny has had her first jab and they can’t wait till I get the second one and we can be together again.

I hope all is well with you

Velvet, my computer seems to be okay now that the hard drive has been replaced Also moved from windows 7 to 10.

We know of Penguin Books and a couple of their other series - Pelican and Puffin. But during the 1940s they also published a few puzzle books, mainly by Hubert Phillips, under the banner Ptarmigan Books. My father had many books including a shelf of puzzle books and I remember seeing one of those Ptarmigan Books many years ago.
