Yes that should be clearly pointed out El x
Hi everyone x
squiggle, i would be putting in a complaint, so there will be a little bit staff training, that this person onviously needs x
Joyron, your poor son
Lovely day here, had the dog for a nice walk, she is now having a nap!
I wouldn't want to drop someone in it, and as it was my grandson who talked to the guy we don't have his name, but thanks for the advice, it is appreciated
Lucky you Yogi to be able to go see that view for a short break.
Yes i understand that squiggle, but a bit of training wouldnt go amiss! I have edited my spelling error, getting my new specs on Friday
It certainly sounds as if he needs it, and if he keeps that lark up he will probably be receiving some pretty sharpish Lovely new specs (don't they cost a bomb nowadays though), I have been having mine re-glazed if the frames are still good (sort of personal double glazing)

We've been up in that area quite a few times, Squiggle. I love the peace and quiet and the scenery is so beautiful.
Your lovely photo has prompted me to speak to Mr Yogi about another visit this year.

Oh, I like the sound of that, Skylark.
I am due to go for a check-up soon, but I'm dreading the size of the bill.
Stranger and stranger. The previous treasurer has rung me back and I told him about the letter. He couldn't remember what was said, but said he would get in touch with the secretary and come back to me.
Just now he rang back to say that he had spoken with the secretary. He hadn't been at the meeting but the secretary told him that she thought that the letter had been sent to me in error and that I would still be doing the work. I asked him to ask the secretary to write to me again so that my position is clear.
I went to Vision Express, one and one free. I need a pair for distance and a pair for reading, cant do variofocals! ÂĢ92 , scratch free lenses, and guarantee for a year. Not bad really.

That's excellent.
My last pair of varifocals were over ÂĢ400 - Mr Yogi was not a happy bunny.

Oh El, sounds like they are in a bit of a muddle.
Bouncing Billy and his mates have broken my fence (climbing over it to get the ball back), so Mr Yogi had a word with his dad today. Hopefully, things might change for the better from now on. *fingers crossed*

Mr Yogi was wearing his diplomatic head this time (Worzel Gummidge stylee) but if that doesn't work, he'll put on his angry head - think Incredible Hulk.

That reminds me of me and my daughter's favourite quote from Toy Story 2, when Mr. Potato Head is off with the others for a confrontation, Mrs Potato Head says I have packed your angry eyes, I love that

Good morning everyone
It's a nice sunny day today. I'll be going off to Blandford fly territory soon, and I'll let you know how I get on when I get back, though I'm not expecting much to report.
Good morning everyone, a lovely morning here.
Good luck with the Blandford Fly EL, I hope this won't be you
Sounds a marvellous day out Summer, and so much good food to taste - where's my doggy bag?
Have a good day everyone, catch you later.
Ooh thanks, Turkish delight, my favourite, saves rest for later
Afternoon everyone, I've been out and about with hubby.
Another lovely, sunny day - forecast says back to showers tomorrow.
Waiting on eldest son arriving, then we are going out to get some bits for my greenhouse.
Summer, your day out at the Yorkshire Show sounds great, glad you enjoyed yourself.
I'm back and no Blandford flies on me They packed up for their summer holidays before the end of June, so there were none around
Well done EL, make a mental note not to visit that particular client in June
Well done EL, make a mental note not to visit that particular client in June
or May . Talking to the man and his partner, we came to the conclusion that the flies seem to be attracted to people who perspire a lot, and he being physically active in his job would. She is more involved with admin so doesn't glow.(the old saying horses sweat, men perspire, but ladies glow). For reasons best know to herself, when the flies were at their peak she decided to test this.
She went to a swarm of flies and stuck her arm in the swarm. She didn't get bitten at all.(I hope she never gets a job at lion taming )
I can't decide whether she is very brave or just stupid EL. I would be far too much of a coward to do likewise.

Peronally I think she was being very reckless. My client suffered from lots of bites including two very close to his eyes. The flies stopped about a month ago but he still has the scabs covering his arms, and throughout the time I was there I saw that he often rubbed his arms.
I didn't tell them that some time ago a fisherman was bitten by those flies. He died 11 months later and it is believed that it was as a result of those bites.
That's quite frightening EL, you don't really think that the bite from anything in this country can kill you.

It is frightening, but I don't know the circumstances behind it. It may be that the fisherman neglected to get any treatment. I do know that the main problem with Blandford fly bites is that if left untreated, the bite can become septic, and that is very serious. Of course, people can die from bee stings if they develop anaphylactic shock. That is comparatively common. One of my clients used to keep bees. He was frequently stung and developed an intolerance to them. His doctor told him that if he ever got stung again he would die. Obviously he stopped immediately - his wife who is a nurse made sure of that.
Adder bites can also kill, but that is very rare. Many years ago I, my brother and our parents were climbing down Leckhampton Hill near The Devil's Chimney which is a landmark on the hill. It was a very steep slope and somewhat overgrown. My mother went first and I was following. Suddenly she told me to stop immediately and to climb back up. She saw that I was just about to walk into a nest of young vipers
