Raining here, temperature going down, forecasters vary as to if it will snow here today or not.

Back home from food shopping, rainy rather than snowy. Not intending to go out again for several days so the snow or ice warnings for the next few days won't cause any problems for me.

Met Office have now removed the snow/ice warnings for here for Monday to Wednesday which isn't suprising. No warnings anywhere for Monday and a smaller area on Tuesday and a different area on Wednesday.

One hears of weather being described as inclement when it's harsh or severe. That's the opposite of clement meaning mild. Clement comes from the Latin word for mild or merciful and is better known when used as a name, for instance Clement Freud and Clement Attlee.

I never use the word clement as an adjective and only think of it as a name.
