Client rings with answers to my queries. Afterwards I found that he hadn't ended his call correctly as my phone was inactive. He's very local so I drove round, returned his accounts box (which he would have collected) and got him to check his phone. He hadn't ended the call correctly and my phone is back working.

A different client tried ringing me several times on his mobile phone today without success. My phone would ring, I would answer but just get silence. After a couple of miniutes I rang him and was able to get through. He has problems getting a working signal and had moved to a different room in his house. Same thing happened yesterday when he tried to ring me.

Later I got an email from another client who had tried to ring me but couldn't get through. I rang him and said that it would have been the same time as the client above had tried ringing me.

When I was up a mates in South Yorkshire a few years ago, I had to go upstairs in the loo at the rear of his place to get a signal on occasions

He live right up on top a hilltop too

Evening all

We woke to several inches of snow. According to the forecast, it wasn’t supposed to arrive till Thursday.

Squiggle, I hope you were able to put out your rubbish.

Love the butterfly clip, El. Butterflies are one of the very few things I can draw (and people know what it is meant to be 😂).

My eldest son and DiL had terrible mobile reception in their first home. Most of the time, son had to go outside to make a call.

I hope none of you have been badly affected by the heavy rain

Good morning ooh I didn’t know there were other night owls around last night too!

Briefly popping in. There's been major problems in my area today with Virgin Media. My landline was down for about 3 hours. My internet was down for 5 hours. It's just come back but I don't know if it will go off again.

Hi El

Thats a long time without a landline or internet in your line of work

Hopefully they will both stay on now

There's also a Newport man who through away a hard drive which he now thinks has bitcoins on which he says is now worth ÂĢ210m:

I don't have a lot of sympathy for them as I consider bitcoins to be a form of gambling.

I have more sympathy for a husband and wife who were duped into paying fraudsters ÂĢ700k thinking they were assisting the Financial Conduct Authority in a high profile fraud investigation. A judge has ruled that their bank does not need to pay them compensation.

I had recorded Spiderman - Homecoming. Watched it last evening.  Too childish for me. In the end I watched it at a slightly higher playback rate so that I could still hear it and just to get the film over as quickly as possible. That was to check the credits at the end - it was Tyne Daly (Lacy of Cagney and Lacy) in a small part near the beginning. A long time since I'd seen her in anything - film made 29 years after C&L ended).

Cheltenham drew with Newport 1-1 last evening.

Newport's goal was scored by a combination of their goalkeeper and Chrisoph as it was as a result of the wind. Youtube clip of this goal:

@Moonie you will be interest to learn that the above goal has set a new world record for the longest goal scored in a competitive football match - 96.01 metres

(Pat Jennings seems to have been further away from his goal when he scored that goal against Man U)
