night yogi moonsie
Good morning everyone it's still very breezy, wet this morning and hopefully dry this afternoon.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Similar weather as yesterday, cloudy and rain possible.
Yogi, thanks re my client. I hope the snow doesn't cause problems for your appointment and hope that goes well, I'm glad you had another reasonable night's sleep
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Squiggle, I hope you get that dry weather
El, I hope you donât get that rain.
Yogi, I hope your hospital appointment goes well and snow free
It was bucketing with rain overnight. Like a river running down my road
The weather forecast says heavy rain changing to overcast by lunchtime. I see we may get some fog too.
Currently just light rain. Still quite mild too
Enjoy your day everyone
Thanks Moonie, I don't think the rain here will be a lot, not expecting rivers of it. I hope your weather improves
Just recieved approval to file one of my client's tax returns so I better do that now

Good luck with that clientâs tax returns

Good luck with that clientâs tax returns
Filing approved tax returns is straightforward and only takes a couple of minutes provided there are no internet issues. I posted about havinng recieved approval at 10.18 and the email confirmation of receipt from HMRC was at 10.20. I gerentally try to do it straightaway before I forget I also want to file returns before 31 January to avoid bottlenecks with thousands of returns being filed at the last minute.

Thatâs very sensible El
I do know that I should have typed "generally" rather than "gerentally". I've never been recognised as dyslexic but I could be, could explain why I was hopeless at learning a foreign language at school.

To be perfectly honest I didnât realise it was spelt wrong El
I would never comment on other peopleâs spelling anyway as mine is poor on occasions

Moonie, BBC One showing one FA Cup match on the Saturday and two on the Sunday but don't yet say which.

Thanks for the heads up El. Thatâs my weekend sorted

Night Rosss, sleep well
Good morning everyone it's a mostly dry day but a little colder than it has been.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here, colder than it has been, may stay dry.
The client who I thought might go elsewhere rang me yesterday evening, he still want me to do his tax return. No mention of the issue I mentioned last July - that's nothing to do with his tax.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Itâs not to cold here. Dry but misty. A high of 2° today
I hope you all have a good day
The client for whom I filed her tax return yesterday morning rang me this morning. She'd just received a recorded phone call form "HMRC" saying that she was about to be conned by them and to press 1 to speak to a scammer so that they could get her bank details and steal money from her. Not those exact words but that was the intent. I reasssured her that this was a scam. Just a coincidence that they rang a day after I filed her return.
@El Loro posted:Moonie, I hope your central heating gets sorted out today
The council gas engineers have just been (I am a council tenant). Thereâs nothing they can do. I need a new boiler. I was told I will get one next week. I was also told I should hear on Monday when I will be getting my new boiler. If I havenât heard by midday I will be onto them.
El, great news on your client who is remaining with you after all
Also, Iâm pleased that lady who had the âscam callâ decided to check with you

Moonie, I saw you had posted that it was the bezel in the boiler which was the problem, not that I know what that is. I hope you've got some alternative heating to keep you warm until you get the new boiler
Thanks re that client and the client who rang me about the scam call Anyone can get that scam call, you don't need to be registered to file tax returns

I have no idea either El
The scammers are getting very clever now

I like you. You can hold your own.
I do like Moonie
Black Sabbath. Geezer
Terrible name for a band though.
@Moonie posted:New boiler to be fitted Tuesday morning approximately 9am
I hope you can stay warm until then
@velvet donkey posted:Terrible name for a band though.
I agree, considering the name is an alternative to wiches' sabbath. I think the name may have come from a 1963 Italian horror film of that name.
Never listened to any of their music or seen that film. Closest I've got to is the 5th section of Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique" known as "dream of a witches' sabbath":
Good afternoon everyone How are we all?
We have had a lot more snow here!
El & Moonie, thank you for looking into my video upload fail, I really didnât know how else to try posting it x

Hi Sweet and Miss Bramble. I hope youâre both warm and cosy and staying safe ð ðūðū
To me snow is okay on Christmas Day but not any other time
I wasnât Sabbathâs name that did anything for me tbh, it was the music
You either like it or you donât. Itâs matter of personal choice
For instance, I also liked Barbara Dickson, Dido, Eric Clapton. Some of the old blues stuff too and other very different genres
I also use to listen to my dadâs over tapes
