Sorry I missed this post Yogi

I am on game 4 or is it 5? 🤔

I don’t know tbh

I’m not surprised you can’t keep count

so has OH and watched some as well - I like football

I used to go to local matches and Scotland games when I was in my teens.

Having Mr Y and three sons who like football, I’ve watched quite a few games over the years.

This was taken recently at Lake Davos in Switzerland. The sound is caused by the ice cracking as it reacts to temperature changes.

this is so interesting EL- so strange

Quite a football watching family then?

Good morning everyone

Very cloudy here. The night time temperature was 9° which was a lot higher than the day time temperature was for most of last week.

I hope everyone has a good day

I wonder if the Cheltenham/Man City match will be one of those the BBC show on television, the Chorley/Wolves and Man U/Liverpool matches are more likely. A better chance of being covered on the radio this time, there was none for the Cheltenham/Mansfield match.

The three largest known dwarf planets in the Solar System are Pluto, Eris and Gonggong. Before Gonggong was formally named it was given the nickname "Snow White".

Eris was named after the Greek goddess of strife and legend. Yesterday's episode of "Only Connect" mentioned the myth about Eris. As she hadn't been invited to a wedding, she decided to cause strife by tossing an apple with the inscription "To the fairest" at the wedding party so the the other goddesses could argue over who the apple was meant for.

So, afterwards I watched Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"

Hi Yogi

Quite a nice day here but set to rain most of tomorrow

Glad you managed some sleep at least

Moonie

January is the busiest month of the year for accountants with the 31 January deadline for tax returns. I'm awating for approval from a couple of clients to file their returns but have done the work. I have the papers to do a set of accounts & return for another client. I'm waiting for the papers from another client though he rang me last week to say that I should get them this week.

That leaves one client who I had written to some weeks ago but haven't heard anything from him. He's the client I mentioned last July about an issue which I couldn't go into details. Haven't heard from him since so he may have decided to go elsewhere. I also do his wife's accounts which I did ages ago. I hope she doesn't go elsewhere - I have spoke with her in recent weeks and as far as I know she's staying.

A week or so I watched "Angel and the Badman" (1947). It's a film which gets shown from time to time on a film channel. It's a John Wayne western but not one of his typical westerns. He's the badman of the title, is injured at the start of the film, is nursed back to health by a Quaker family, the daugter is the angel of the title, and by the end of the film he's ceased to be a bad man. May be the only Wayne western where he doesn't shoot anyone.

Evening all

It has rained all day. The gritter has been round but no sign of snow yet.

Thanks everyone. I slept till 5am this morning so another decent night’s sleep

I hope the lady client stays with you El, even if her husband goes elsewhere.

Hi Yogi

It rained here very early on. Then stopped and it went quite mild. Light rain currently

It’s not looking good here over the next week though. Rain, snow and fog with low temperatures by day and night

That’s great news

Hi Moonie

We had fog in the afternoon but it didn’t last long.

We have a weather warning for heavy snow. I’ve got an appointment with the nurse tomorrow so could do without it.

Oh, heck, I hope you get back from your appointment before it snows
