Good morning everyone

Sunshine change to cloudy by lunchtime. They seem to have it the wrong way round as it’s cloudy now

Sorry to hear Cheltenham lost El

Have a great day one and all

Thanks Moonie
Portsmouth were the better side, they are the holders of the EFL Trophy, and they are contenders for promotion to the Championship.

Evening all

I won’t be on the forum tonight as it’s the competitive cooking programmes again but I didn’t want to be AWOL for two days in a row.

I hope you have all had a good day

A bit early for goodnight and sweet dreams See you tomorrow night.

Hi and bye Yogi

I’m glad you have been on or we would have had to have sent out a search party 😉

My day has been good, I hope yours has too

Night night, sleep well, sweet dreams. See you tomorrow

Did some local shopping. Went past some roadworks which must be emergency as they aren't shown on the roadworks map. Must be either a watermains leak or a gas leak.

I have just shopped at my local shops. In the actual shop the cash machine had no money in. So I went to the usual one I go to. Less than a hundred yards away. Got my cash. There is a concrete bollard about 40cm high what the shop used to attach its sign to when the wind is blowing.
Usually when I move away from the machine I turn to my left so that I miss it. Today I turned to my right, for some unknown reason. Two grazes and a hefty bruise on my shin

I put a cold compress on it when I got home. It’s stopped bleeding but I will have a hefty bruise come tomorrow I know

Poor you

The film "The Lavender Hill Mob" is on BBC Two this afternoon. The funniest of all of Ealing comedies and Alec Guinness is brilliant. That;s the one with the Eiffel Tower. Also in a very small role is Audrey Hepburn before she became a star. No difficulty in recognisimg her.
Apparently Valerie Singleton is in the film. She's not credited, and IMDB lists her as a girl. I don't know if she says anything. She would have been 13 or 14 at the time the film was made. Over 10 years before she started in Blue Peter so she may not be recognisable. She doesn't play the part of June Edwards, the girl at the Eiffel Tower. She is on record as saying that she was in the film so it's not a myth.

Thanks El. Getting my Popes a little mixed up

Easy done

Pope Donus was pope from 676 to 678.

At one time the non-existent Pope Donus the second was mistakenly included in the official list of popes. As a result, it's unlikely that donuts were named after him
