Oh my word squiggle
At the end of the mad tea-party story in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, as Alice is leaving she sees the Mad Hatter and the March Hare trying to push the Dormouse in their teapot.

I love the title of the video El
Well I have shopped not long ago at my local shop. Taken all the appropriate precautions there, back and when I got home. Itâs quite cold out the but I thought I would venture out anyway to blow the cobwebs way
El, re the Dumbo film, I remember my dad telling me he went to the cinema to see that film when he was still in the army and cried

I would think he did at this scene, it would pull at the heartstrings of many people separated from their family:

The clip doesn't have great graphic.

Awwww, how very sad
I have never seen the film El. Did they get back together in the end?

Yes, Dumbo is reunited with his mother right at the end of the film. I've only seen the original version, not the modern live action remake.
The original is being shown regularly on the Sky Disney channel. It has been shown on Freeview as well in recent years typically over the Christmas period.

Iâm ever so happy now
Good morning everyone it's a clear and cold morning. Lovely view of the nearly full moon just beginning to wane.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Cloudier here than yesterday. Not a warm day but will be even lower for the next few days.
Squiggle, I spotted the moon in the early morning yesterday - it seemed very bright.
Moonie, I was watching the draw for the next round of the FA Cup on Monday evening. When there were just 6 balls in the bag, I was wondering if Wect Brom and Cheltenham were going to be drawn together but it was not to be
I hope everyone has a good day

Hi El
Sometimes it happens but unfortunately it hasnât this time
Good afternoon everyone
Its cold, a little breezy but dry. However we are expecting rain soon for a couple of hours. As I type itâs getting darker
Been to the bank. All patrons 2 metres apart and masked, as was I
Took all the appropriate and necessary anti-bac procedures on arrival back at home
Have a lovely day everyone

The last time they met in the FA Cup was on 16 February 2002 when West Brom beat Cheltenham 1-0.
I had to do a search for that

Well researched El
Afternoon all
It is raining and chilly up here.
I only got 2 hours sleep last night - Moonie, where is your mallet?!
I wonât be around tonight as the Great British Menu is on and Iâve given up watching the competitive cookery programmes.
Have a good day, everyone.
Yogi, I hope you get better sleep tonight
I remembered that you had given up watching competitive cookery programmes I don't watch them for the competitive element as that side doesn't interest me. I'm just as likely to watch Masterchef/Bake Off as a Nigella Lawson or Nadiya Hussain programme. I choose not to watch Great British Menu as I dislike the judges on that. I started seeing one series. First few episodes didn't involve judges and were fine. Then came the first episode with judges. It was clear to me that they recognised who had prepared each dish (these are professional critics and would know the style of a chef having eaten their dishes before). If there was a chef that they didn't think much of, they knew that the dish was by that chef so mark it down. So that chef never had a chance. That's not the case with Masterchef or Bake Off.

Hi Yogi
âthudâ warms up Moonies mallet for us both
I hope you have a lovely evening whatever you do
I hope you both get some better sleep tonight Moonie and Yogi. I had to smile to myself thinking about you all being in the bank with masks on. Just a year ago that would have suggested a very different (and illegal) scenario

Fankoo squiggle and your right about the masks
Good morning everyone lots of rain overnight and with a very wet day to come.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Raining and not warm here.
Yogi, I hope you had more sleep last night
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
Cold and wet here and like squiggle, set to be like it all day
I donât need to go out today
So itâs a day of washing and hopefully drying on the radiators
A mans work is never done
Have a great day everyone and stay warm and safe
From time to time my email spam folder includes dubious emails supposedly from clients. They aren't. Typically the genuine email address would be name@yahoo.co.uk but the email would be name@something else.
Such an email consists of my name followed by a hyperlink followed by client's name.
Obviously I don't click on that hyperlink as that would be highly risky and I just delete it.
The one I got today has a shortened hyperlink. It shows as https followed by bitly.com followed by the shortened link. Bitly is often used to shorten links.
If you want to know what the full link is, copy the link into the address bar, add + to the link at the end (no space). You don't go to the webpage but to the bitly site which shows the full length of the hyperlink. That's specific for bitly ones so don't use for other shortened links.
I did that for today's link and it showed that it was an http site rather than an https site so not secure. Also the address ended with .cn so based in China. So I was right to be dubious.

Well done El. A brilliant piece of deduction

As I've mentioned before, those spam emails seem to come from people with yahoo email addresses as yahoo was hacked some years ago.
I note that Talking Pictures was showing "The First Travelling Saleslady" (1956) this afternoon. A comedy western starring Ginger Rogers and Carol Channing. The film is only notable for including one of the most unlikely romances in films. That's between Carol Channing and an actor in his first credited appearance in a western. Some of their scenes are in this Youtube clip:

Actually he was 25 or 26 at the time the film was made . Carol Channing was 35.

Oh, right
Evening all
I woke at 3am (had been asleep from 7.30pm though ) to snow on the ground. We had pea soup fog in the afternoon and the snow is still lying but it isnât deep.
El, I also enjoy the cookery programmes with Jamie, Mary, Nadiya, Nigella etc.
Squiggle, thatâs a good point about wearing masks in banks
Moonie, I hope you got your washing dried
I made Mary Berryâs chocolate brownies today. Mr Y said, âYou can make these againâ - High praise indeed coming from him.
I hope youâve all had a good day.

Hi Yogi
A decent sleep then, though not at the exact right time of day
ðĪ I hope the snow turns to rain when it gets here. Mind you, it has been chucking it down all day here. So it couldnât be much worse than it has been ð
Most of my washing is dry now Yogi but I have just cranked up the washing machine again
Well said Mr Y
My day has been good fankoo
Hi Moonie
Yes, it would be better if I could adjust the actual hours
lol Your washing machine is on overtime ð
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Moonie and Ros
Hug for any night owls
