Sunny here now but the outisde temperature is going down, already a couple of degrees lower than it was at 8 this morning. Forecast to be a cold night and in this part of the country around zero early tomorrow morning.

When I saw the abbreviation used in the title of this cricket new story:

it reminded me of the slogan used for this children's toy range. It dates back to the early 1970s by which time I was out at work but my moher must have seen the adverts as she found the slogan rather amusing - it's sung at the end

They are very cute.

We haven’t seen the one that was hanging around our street. Unfortunately, he seemed more interested in running around the rooftops and sitting on the security cameras.🙈

A frost overnight. The car roofs are white, whatever their actual colours

The temperature dropped to 0° overnight. We are expecting a high of 4° to 6° during the today then down to 0° overnight with fog until 10am tomorrow morning

It is

Minor British comedy "No Kidding" (1960) on Talking Pictures at present. Main bit of interest is that the film features Geraldine McEwan and Joan Hickson who would in due course both become Miss Marple.

That film also included Francesca Annis. First time I ever saw her was on 24 September 1966 when she was a presenter on a TV programme called "Disney Wonderland". It wasn't much of a programme but her appearance is the only thing I remember about it.

A year later she was Estella in the 1967 BBC adaptation of Great Expectations which I also watched.

I liked Francesca Anna’s as Lillie Langtry.

I made a banana loaf using a Mary Berry recipe....and it turned out really well. I’m not known for my baking skills.

Didn't watch that Lillie Langtry series with Francesca Annis. Have seen the 1940 western "The Westener" a couple of times over the years. That starred Gary Cooper and Walter Brennan. Brennan played Judge Roy Bean who had an obsession with Lillie Langtree and eventually gets to see her (played by Lilian Bond). I think that the Francesca Annis series mentioned Bean in one of the episodes.

Fog had lifted here but it's a very cloudy day. It's about 3° outside.
