Good morning everyone it's a dry and cloudy morning just a little rain this evening otherwise a mostly dry week to come.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here. Forecast to be a dry day possibly.
Having to take my car to my local service station as the engine warning light came on as I was driving home on Saturday and is still on. Engine misfiring. Could be caused by the amount of rain in recent months and the weather getting colder. A year ago I had to have the spark plugs replaced as rain getting in had caused one of them to crack. The model seems to have a design fault making that more likely. May be somrhing else as I didn't get the engine warning light being on the whole time a year ago. Not using my car to get to clients of course so that's not an issue.
I hope everyone has a good day
I have to keep my car outside as there isn't the scope for me to be able to have a garage here.
Car won't start so have had to arrange for it to be collected and taken there.
I hope you manage to get the car sorted quickly EL it's a bit of a nuisance being without
Good morning everyone
It’s cold, very windy but currently dry
Nothing to do today just stay warm
Have a good day everyone

Thanks
My credit card used to include home start for cars if a car broke down at home. They stopped doing that as from last Saturday

Oh, no
I think they should have at least had the decency to informed you that it had been stopped El

They did send ne notification that they had a couple of weeks ago. It would have been the first time I would have used Home Start. In the past, if the car hadn't started (because of a flat battery) I just rang my service station and they would have come here and got the car started.

Ah, right, okay El

Great news El
Just had my car service people ring. I was almost right. It was the ignition coil which had broken down thanks to rainwater getting in. So similar to the spark plugs as they and the ignition coil are all part of the ignition system. Should get my car back sometime tomorrow

That’s poor design on behalf of the car manufacturers but good news about you car being returned tomorrow

I agree about the design.
If you freeze the video at about 5 seconds in, you can see that between the base of the windscreen and the back of the bonnet, there's a dip with what looks like slots. I think that rainwater gets into that dip and can seep through the back of the bonnet. Underneath the bonnet at the back are where the spark plugs etc go.

Having just looked at the video, I seen what you mean about the slots El
Not a good design at all

Good morning everyone it's a little drizzly this morning but it should be dry after that.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Wet start to the day here but the rain is expected to end soon and the day become dry though cloudy. Been a mild night, the last mild night for the time being.
I hope everyone has a good day
Cheltenham (2nd in league 2) drew with Cambridge (3rd) 1-1. Cheltenham scored 4 minutes into stoppage time at the end of the first half, Camrbridge scored 5 minutes into stoppage time at the end of the second half.

Now that is what you call an exciting game
At least you got a point in the end
Good morning everyone
Cold, wet and breezy here. It should get a little better as the day goes on
I have just been out to feed the birds and Baby Cyril the squirrel
No washing as such to do so I am a “washing free” zone, for a change, or am I
Have a lovely day everyone

True
Cheltenham has an FA Cup match at the weekend. They are at home against Crewe Alexandra who are in League 1. Crewe were promoted from League 2 at the end of the previous season. It won't be an easy match for Cheltenham.

It would be nice to get a cup run going but more important to get promotion

Obviously one wants one's team to get promotion but Cheltenham did struggle when they were last promoted to league 1. Financillay it would help if Cheltenham did have a nice cup run.
Just returned from collecting my car and going for a 12 mile journey just to recharge the battery. I asked them to check the battery but they said it's fine. The car probably didn't start first thing yesterday as the ignition coil had packed up rather than having a flat battery.

Fair enough El
