love it-EL that is awesome-love cats and my cat has different meows
night moonsieyogi summer
Good morning everyone, today is described as having a 'fresh breeze'. Well it sounds more like gale force winds to me!
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Some sunshine here, may get some showers.
Not particularly windy here at present. My local weather recording site shows that earlier the gusts were "strong breeze" so approaching "near gale".
I hope everyone has a good day

Light rain to start the day here. Clearing to sunny intervals by lunchtime. A high of just 8° expected. Gusts of 16mph. So not to bad a day
Have a good day Buddies
Moonie, a high of 10° today forecast so a bit higher than yours. A bit warmer by tomorrow but with rain.

Not long after I said earlier we had light rain, the sun came out

Started a clien't tax return and rang him for more information. Dividend income is about 16 time higher than the previous year. He had an inheritance, some of which went into investments. I think that he must have invested the money just before 5 April 2019 which would explain what's happened. Also want to check that there's no capital gains which have to be reported. Nothing suspicious, just want to check.
Good morning everyone it's windy and wet this morning but drier this afternoon.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Very cloudy here, rain is heading this way.
I hope everyone has a good day
Had a client ring me a few minutes ago with a query on SSP (statutory sick pay) and the payroll software he uses. Not the first time he's rung me with a query on that software. I did a quick Google search, found the relevant page of that payroll's knowledge base which had the information he needed and got the client to do the same.
I don't mind as the fee I charge him is quite high though he could have found the infomation quickly if he had tried to
Good morning everyone
A cold damp morning here and set to be the same for the rest of the day
Could be worse I suppose. It could be snowing
I hope you all have a good day

There was mention on my local news website about snow coming but that would have been one of those alarmist warnings we get every year about going to be the worst winter ever

Another client has just dropped off their papers for their tax returns so that gives me something to do next week

Not much work around then El? Or are you up to date

I have some work to finish off but not much. Have written/emailed a number of clients but have heard nothing back from them. Still showing on the HMRC agents site as yet to file their tax return so I'm still their agent as far as HMRC are concerned. Whether those clients will contact me I don't know. Filing deadline isn't until 31 January so over 2 months away.
I had contacted today's client recently whereas I had contacted the ones above weeks ago,
There are two clients who had contacted me and will want me to do the work but the work is delayed, one due to some missing information which they need to get and one due to personal reasons affecting her family.

I'm sure you'll have some football to watch and then of course this evening you've got your team off to Old Trafford and a lot dependeds as to which Man U play, the underwhelming one or the overwhelming one
Not watching it, but there's a new Icelandic noir series starting on BBC 4 tonight called "The Valhalla Murders". The lead detective is played by an actress called Nina Dogg Filippusdottir. What a name.

They are indeed off to Old T El. Letâs hope itâs the underwhelming version
I see your team are at home too Walsall who are table. Won 3, drawn 7, lost 2 so a chance of 3 points methinks

What a mouthful
I guess all that has an Icelandic meaning though El

Though Cheltenham has been playing better away than at home

The structure of Icelandic surnames is different. So Filippusdottir is based on her father's first name which would be Filippus and the dottir is daughter. If she has a brother his surname would be Filippusson,
