Love the picture of the dalmation.

It is a nice picture, I have posted it before ages ago, for reasons I can't remember I had drawn a G on the picture.

I do things like that and can never remember what they were meant to signify.

Morning Hope everyone is feeling good this morning? It's cloudy & gloomy here! I didn't get to finish the movie because my mum wanted to skype- I hadn't skyped her since a fortnight before and she had some work related issues she wanted to discuss, so I paused the movie.. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it though, I love the banter so far! El, oh my goodness, your neighbour has been careless! In today's world you can't leave anything to chance, even in the nicest of areas! 18 months ago my car got broken into in a lovely area, the thieves left empty handed though because I never ever leave anything of value in my car! I had to chuckle though because a few days beforehand I laddered my tights on my way out to a meal, so I popped in the co op, got a new pair and changed in the car. I then threw my old tights in the gloves box and forgot about them, so the thieves would have been greeted with those

Good morning everyone, love the story about the discarded tights in the glove box Summer, not what the thieves expected at all. I too am very careful about locking up the car and never leaving anything valuable in there for all to see.

You won't be disappointed in the film Summer, you might even want to watch it all through again.  I think one of my favourite bits was the grandmother's home, so so beautiful, and a wonderful scene with the three of them.

I will have a little practice with a photo from my Photobucket account, surely they cannot be taking that facility away from us?  That would make the forum and this thread in particular much the poorer

Summer, I love the story of the tights in the glovebox.

I remember Mr Yogi being very put out when our car was broken into (before the days of car alarms, and it was locked up and parked opposite a police station at the time) and the thief stole most of his cassettes but didn't take his Glenn Miller one. Mr Yogi said they were not only crooks but they had no taste.

squiggle, I've had no problem in posting your picture, but I may be posting it in a different way. What I do is to right click on the full size image of the picture in Photobucket, then select Copy Image Location (not Copy Image). Then over in the Post Reply box I click on the Insert Image icon as normal and paste the copied location in the Image URL line. I press tab and the picture then appears in the box below . Then I click Insert and that's it. I post all pictures that way as it seems to be the most reliable way.

In Photobucket as an alternative to right clicking on the picture you can copy the location by clicking on Direct Link beneath the picture, then come back here and do as I have said above. If you use any of the other options in Photobucket, I don't think it will work.

We all have been having problems. Lori has explained that they are aware of it and are trying to sort it out. It's to do with yesterday's update, it's not your connection.

Charming little tale from my paper today

A few years ago my grandson called to see me, with his little boy, Cameron, then aged nearly three.  He'd left the buggy by the back door and, after a while, it started to rain so Rob said he would put the buggy in the garage.  As Cameron made to follow him, I said 'Just stand on the doormat, Cameron, then you won't get wet'.  He promptly picked it up, put it outside, stood on it, and looked at me rather reproachfully as, yes, he found he still got wet!

That's a gently amusing story, poor Cameron

And it's started raining again here. My brother is coming here this afternoon and there is the risk of heavy thunderstorms at that time. He normally walks from town to my house, but I have warned him about the weather and he will probably catch the bus. Although I generally drive him to the station when he returns, he generally walks here on arrival as the train could arrive ay any time.

My brother will be going back on Sunday afternoon, so I probably won't be around much over the next couple of days.

Squiggle, I love it when kids take what you say, literally.

El, have a good weekend with your brother and I hope the weather picks up for you both.

Joyron, hope your weekend is a relaxing one.

Thinking of you Skylark.

Thank you and I hope you have a great weekend as well.

And a big for Skylark and family today.

Oh I keep forgetting to say, I've uploaded some holiday pics to mine & captain phil's FB, I'm not sure if any of you are on there or not (I've lost track of who's who too) but you're more than welcome to have a look through if you are. Our username is Summer Breeze if you need to search for us, you'll recognise captain phil in the profile pic

Cinema and food sounds good to me.

Hubby and sons are planning a "pickling" weekend - onions, beetroot etc, so I think I might sneak off to the garden centre and leave them to it.

I'm fine, thanks.  I can always grab a nap later if I get sleepy.

I'm not on FB, but some of the others might be.

Yogi19

Enjoy your weekends Joyron and EL, will the rain clear up for you I wonder, we have a dry forecast for the weekend here.

Thinking about Skylark today and hoping all is going well.

Sounds a lovely way to celebrate your anniversary Summer, nice to see the latest (and last) Harry Potter too, the review is very good and you will get to see it in 3D.

I bet your 'boys' will have a great time getting pickled this weekend Yogi, I wonder what delights you will be tempted by in the garden centre
