S’ok, I often get distracted by things

If I had somewhere to put a drier I may have invested in one but no spare room in our compact kitchen

Good morning everyone as you would expect it's very very windy out there and pouring with rain. A good day for staying indoors and drinking hot chocolate!
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Hasn't stopped raining here since it started yesterday morning. Forecast indicates it will end around noon which is when the extended amber warning ends.
Not surprisingly, there was no play in the T20s yesterday. There's a chance that there may be some play by late afternoon. If the first semi-final is completed but reduced to 5 overs today and no further play possible, the second semi-final and final would be decided by bowl-outs. If both semi-finals are completed but no futher play possible, then just the final by a bowl-out. If no play is possible today, they've arranged to try again on Wednesday.
I hope everyone has a good day

Hi squiggle
That’s sounds like a great idea to me
Good morning everyone
It stopped raining here, briefly very briefly
The first time in close on two days
However, it’s started again now
El, I don’t think there is any chance of T20 in the foreseeable further for a ‘proper’ game of cricket
Enjoy your Sunday as best you can Buddies

Velvet, not a pleasant dilemma to be faced with
Moonie, rain seems to have stopped here but it's still gloomy outside.

Just a misty rain here now El

T20 inspection keeps being delayed
Play started Match reduced to 11 overs from 20 for the two sem-finals and 16 overs for the final. I suspect the playing conditions are poor so any result is a bit of a lottery.

I am surprised El and yes whatever the result, it will be a lottery

Surrey has beaten Gloucestershire in the first sem-final. Surrey won the toss and put Gloucestershire in to bat. Any side winning the toss would have done the same in those playing conditions. At least it wasn't a bowl out.
Albert Finney, Alfred Molina, David Suchet and now Kenneth Branagh. Haven't seen the Molina version of "Murder on the Orient Express".

I’ve seen the Finney version. I didn’t like it. Also the David Suchet which I did like

A bowl out would have been a travesty El

I didn't particularly like the Finney version either. I found the Suchet version good but found the ending darker than I was expecting. Although that was towards the end of Suchet's portrayal as Poirot, the book itself was one of the earlier Christie Poirots.
Evening all
Rained overnight and this morning, then it brightened up.
I’ve been painting doors in the hall and landing today. I’ve decided I hate painting!
David Suchet IS Poirot as far as I’m concerned 😄so I avoid any film with anyone else playing the role.
El, I agree the ending of Suchet’s version of Murder On The Orient Express was dark.
Moonie, I hope you had a good day

Good morning everyone I don't think it's actually raining at the moment although the forecast shows a little later on.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Some brighhtness around here, showers forecast for later.
Nice to see you Summer, I hope all is well
Yogi, I hope you can cope with the painting
I did watch that Branagh version of "Murder on the Orient Express" last night. Quite good and I preferred it to the Finney version. Although there were many well known actors in both version, they seemed to work better in the Branagh version. Almost 10 years ago since I saw the Suchet version. Suchet is the definitive Poirot but Branagh isn't bad. The next Branagh Poirot is signalled at the end of the film - "Death on the Nile". That's been made but release is up in the air. When I see whoi's in the cast I may avoid ever watching it. Cast includes Russell Brand, Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French
I hope everyone has a good day

Yessss it is thank you, Miss Bramble is spending a bit more time with my mum lately, they are quite content in each other’s company. I thank my lucky stars for her, because my mum is by herself so much these days
