That's disappointing for you
I wonder why Sheffield United was nicknamed "The Blades" because of the history of steel making at Sheffield rather than Sheffield Wednesday. Sheffield Wednesday ("The Owls") was founded in 1867 - Sheffield United afterwards in 1889. It could be if the first players of United worked in the steel industry.

My has been good fankoo, I hope yours has too
I washed my duvet cover and 4 pillowcases and dried them all. It wasnât too warm even though the sun shone for most of the day. There was a breeze which also helped
Then there has been a lot of football on over the weekend too

So not in Yorkshire
Got another one of those Domestic and General phone calls about my washing machine insurance. I knew this was almost certainly a scam. So I asked the caller what make was my washing machine. The caller immediately ended the call. So 100% certainly a scam as if it had been genuine, the caller would have known the make.

It's worth remembering that tip in case you or anyone else here gets a similar call
I posted on the 11th about an email from HMRC about a webinar for self employed people keeping business records.
They've sent me almost the same email this afternoon.
I assume they are sending these to every self-employed person where they've got an email address rather than anything else

My landline doesnât phone doesnât even ring. It automatically blocks numbers that are not in its phone contacts list. The only time I see I have had a call from a number isnât is when I look at the phone display of incoming calls. I usually Google it and then block it if it is of no significance , which they usually arenât. The phone can block up to 100 numbers. Iâm not even close to that amount yet
It is surprising how the same numbers do ring even though they get a message to say they are blocked

Although I do block some phone numbers, a lot of scammers just use random phone numbers making it pointless trying to block them. The most frequent are those claiming to be British Gas and that my electicity contract is due to be renewed. They only target businesses so you wouldn't get them. I get at least one every week of the year and have done so for a few years so it's hundreds of such calls. I cannot block them as it's a different number every time. I know it's a random number as a Google search on any of those numbers won't produce any meaningful results.
The Guardian had an article about this some months ago. Tatget small businesses conning them in the hope of either earning commission or getting bank details. They ring from abroad so Ofcom can't do anything about it. Nothing to do with British Gas, they win't do anything about it. It's one of the perils I have to put up with.
Evening all
Weather was rainy, then sunny and now rainy again.
Happy to report there were no more accidents in the Yogi household today
I hope you all had a good day
