I have a baby squirrel in and around my garden. Bazzy and I have named him Baby Cyril

Well, I say baby, he obviously isn’t very old as he is not very big. He was raiding the bird feed today

😂 He will be gathering up food to bury/store to see him through the winter.

Our squirrel hasn’t returned....so far.

Incidentally El, there is a trio of life size statues in a huddle of Cyrille Regis, Brendan Batson and Laurie Cunningham on a huge plinth in New Square, West Bromwich. They was nickname the Three Degrees

No, I didn't know that

Incidentally, in Batson's case it's Brendon rather than Brendan. Easy to get the two names mixed up. Brendan Foster for instance. And to make it even more confusing, there's Brandon (Brandon Lee for instance).

Are you fluent in Latin then El?

No. I'm not at all fluent in Latin though do know a few words. If you look at the front of a coin you will see "ELIZABETH II D G REG". On a bank note you'll see "E R". The "REG" and "R" are short for "Regina", Latin for queen.
The Latin for king is "rex" but that varies in Latin depending on how the word is used in a sentence. So "regis" and "rege" also mean "king".

(D G = Del Gratia, Latin for "By the Grace of God", the E for Elizabeth II)

Thanks for the info El. I didn’t know any of the meanings of the above

Moonie

I noticed this morning when I went shopping a lot of water at a roundabout on the roads. Tunrs out that it was caused by a burst pipe. Although I wasn't affected quite a lot of householders near the roundabout were without water this afternoon, Water company is now repairing the leak and says that water has been restored to those houses.

It’s nice you wasn’t affected El but annoying for the people was. Glad to see they have their water back now

Evening all

A sunny day but there was a chilly breeze.

El, I’m glad you weren’t affected by the burst pipe

It’s definitely getting cooler at night so I think you were right to put on your winter duvet, Moonie

Hope everyone has had a good day

Hi Yogi

One of my better ideas

My day has been good fankoo, I hope yours has too
