BBC article about a photographer who has been making plant prints using natural chemicals from plants and sunlight:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-53821196
The prints are known as anthotypes using a process which was pioneered in the mid 1800s. It was the idea of Mary Somerville, a Scottish science writer and polymath. She's shown on the Scottish ÂĢ10 note.

A polymath is someone whose knowledge spans many different subjects and has used that knowledge. On Wiki, I identified a list of female polymaths before the 20th century in science. It's not a long list. In fact, Mary Somerville was the only person in the world on that list.

Evening all

Chilly and breezy today.

Sad news about Dianna Rigg. I like her and her daughter, the actress Racheal Stirling.

lol at the Police comment about the rice smelling nice
Hope you’ve all had a good day

Very sad Yogi

As well as Emma Peel in the the Avengers she was recently in Game of Thrones

Nite nite, sleep well, sweet dreams

Good morning everyone it's a dull morning here. Diana Rigg is also in the latest All Creatures Great and Small James Herriot thingie, which sadly in my opinion is not a patch on previous versions. She plays Mrs Pumphrey, Tricki-Woo's owner which was a bit of a surprise as the review I read said the part was played by Joanna Lumley.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Very cloudy here.

Squiggle, I had spotted Diana Rigg in the trailer for "All Creatures Great and Small" I recently mentioned that she's the Mother Superior in the television version of "Black Narcissus" yet to be shown. Joanna Lumley did appear in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", the Bond film with Diana Rigg. Diana Rigg was invited to be on "The New Avengers" but declined - that had Joanna Lumley in. So there is a slight overlap between the two. However, Diana Rigg was a much better actress and did a lot of heavyweight stage acting which was why she was made a dame.

I hope everyone has a good day

One of Diana Rigg's stage roles was that of Medea in the play of that name by Euripides. That was staged in London and also Broadway. That's one of the classic Greek tragedies - she was awarded a Tony for that back in 1994. (clips from that on Youtube are in her name but in fact a different actress, Zoe Caldwell, so no point in posting any).

I don't think I'll be watching the webinar
