@El Loro posted:I see that this short film was classified by the BBFC a couple of days ago, due to be released in September. It was made in 1902, 10 years before the BBFC was created. The colour is added as is the soundtrack (there are other soundtracks for the film).
U certificate for fantasy violence.
It's not remotely realistic
George Melies directed, produced, edited and wrote the script vaguely based on Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon and H G Wells's "The First Men in the Moon". He was also Professor Barbenfoullis, the lead astronomer, and also the Moon

Stay safe with your phone calls El
Might be play offs today Moons. Hard one to call - both attack but I fancy Brentford. Probably totally wrong.
Take Moonies advice and stay safe troops. It's pretty simple.
Good morning everyone
Sunny here.
Squiggle, you are correct about Greer Garson - Richard Ney was about 11 years younger.
Thanks Velvet re phone calls
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone
A sunny but cool start to the day here. The temperature is set to reach the high 20âs by the end of the week
Velvet the playoff is tomorrow and I fancy Brentford to win too
Have a grey day everyone but stay safe
Thanks EL but that was Yogi and not me, she's far more knowledgeable.

Yogi I have total respect for. I know she's underplaying it but she is smart. I've seen it. Cool dude Mrs Y - could probably annihilate me because it would be personal. Any friend of Baz is a friend of mine.
Mrs Y
She's a killa.
Evening all
We had a visit from eldest son and BB today. Son was helping hubby make a new frame for my raised bed - to put netting over to keep out the cats and birds. Before he left, BB gave us a list of things he wants to do tomorrow.
I hope youâve all had a good day

I only knew because I liked Greer Garson

There's an area of Cheltenham known as Fiddler's Green (near the GCHQ).
In maritime folklore, Fiddler's Green was an afterlife for sailors who had served at least 50 years at sea where there was a fiddle which never stopped, dancers who never tired and constant mirth. Unlikely to be why the Cheltenham area would be so called. More likely that someone called Fiddler used to own some fields there.
Good morning everyone
Overcast start to the day here. No rain forecast
We shall see
Not much on today
Yogi, I hope you and the little ones have a lovely time together
Enjoy your day everyone
May be of interest to Ros. "Messe des pÊcheurs de Villerville" (1881) was a collaboration between Gabriel FaurÃĐ and his former pupil AndrÃĐ Messager. Composed before the Requiem and a lesser work. The mass is in 5 sections:
The Agnus Dei (14.45) is possibly the most interesting as having touches of the Requiem.

Just joking of course

That's possible though it's more likely to be named after someone who plated the violin for a living.
