By the way, people are unable to sign in to their Virgin Media account at present and don't get past the log in page. It's a known problem by VM who say it should be fixed by 16.00. So you can't access their email browser at present. The email system is still working so if you use an external email browser to access VM emails that's still working.

Seems to be back working now

Man driving down the M11 in his car when it runs out of fuel. So he gets his electric scooter out of the car and goes back on the motorway in the wrong direction to get to a filling station. Gets off the scooter and runs across 4 lanes of the motorway to get to the filling station.
The polce aren't impressed  - "court awaits" that man.

Good morning everyone it's a lovely clear morning so hopefully we might get some sunshine today. I have the number blocked on those Amazon scam calls so the phone doesn't ring. It's blocked on the downstairs phone so doesn't show up but still shows up on the bedroom phone so I can see they are still trying to phone me.

Enjoy your day everyone

Argos are scrapping their catalogue after 47 years

It's not that surprising as so much of the ordering is done online now and it must be expensive to produce those catalogues. All Argos stores will have digital screens by January for customers in stores to use.

I still get Viking Direct catalogues sent to me. That's nearly 400 pages long. That's stationery, office equipment and furniture. That's for business customers such as myself and I do get things from them.

I guess, as you say, it’s not that surprising. Nevertheless still sad...

They did an interview with a man on the radio who has all the Argos catalogues

Two and  half filing cabinets full

Sounds as if he's a hoarder and keeps everything. I suppose that if he has the very first catalogue they printed that it could have some interest to a heritage museum

Good evening all

We’ve had a rainy day.

lol at Moonie and El, our weathermen

My late MiL’s claim to fame was, she almost knocked down the weatherman Michael Fish when she was in London. TBH, she was the world’s worst driver and it was an absolute miracle she never knocked down anyone.

Velvet, do you remember when PB was a tiny toddler and she loved Sean Batty? I reminded her of it recently and she looked at me like I was mad. Good to know her taste has improved as she has gotten older.😂

Hope you’ve all had a good day
